The OXO Folding Dish Rack keeps clean dishes contained on a small section of your kitchen countertop, giving them time to dry between meals. The slotted stainless steel rack holds up to 12 plates upright to maximize space, or it accommodates a mix of daily dishes, ranging from bowls and pots to cutting boards and food storage containers. The rack's drain spout catches drips, neatly directing water towards the sink and away from the surrounding countertop. We know you love accessories you can customize to fit your kitchen layout, and this drain spout attaches to the rack's long or short side for flexible positioning. Finger-style holders let you store cups off to the side, protecting delicate glassware from bumps and jostles when you're loading the rack with bulky pans. Organize eating and cooking utensils in built-in holders, and use the removable knife block to keep sharp blades safely covered. When you need extra counter space to pull out the tabletop griddle, fold up the sides of this collapsible rack to conveniently store it away. Features:
  • Space-saving storage slots and holders keep plates, pots and cutlery organized
  • Cup holders securely store glasses upside down to quickly drain waterDrain spout prevents water from pooling on countertopsVentilated utensil compartments speed up dryingAttached drying tray holds small containers and extra knivesFold-down walls make storing the rack easy

  • Good rack with some minor flaws

Used every day now for 4 months, the drainage tray with the spout has really been a pleasure and a plus. Keeps the counter dry and mold-free, and now I don't have to wait for rinsed dishes to drip in the sink before placing them on the rack. The stainless rack stays shiny, clean, no problem. The plastic tray and plastic racks will get a little grimy and need cleaning once a month. I wish the drainage tray could stay put. It can slide around an inch or so if nudged, which is easy to do, and that can affect where the spout ends up dripping. The stainless rack and plastic flatware trays above are pretty good designs for versatility, but the unique shape of the grill takes some getting used to. Have to be real careful how you arrange bowls and glasses; there's a way that works and a way that doesn't. Easy to build yourself a collapsing house of (glass) cards. There are not quite enough bars on the long side. Small things like ramekins will slide out if you're not careful when you're stacking and removing. It's made to fold up and stow when you don't need it, but we keep it out all the time.

    I recommend this product.

  • A well-made dish rack

OXO did a nice job with this dish rack. It holds A LOT of dishes, but somehow doesn't take up more space than my old rubber-coated wire rack did. It drains nicely, too. To the designers, I'd like two improvements: a) another wide slat on the knife rack to accommodate bigger knives (there's only one wide slat, and the rest are sized for steak knives), and b) longer prongs on the cup holders for taller cups and glasses.

    I recommend this product.

  • Cleverly thought out

Despite my ratings I think this is a pretty cleverly designed rack. Particularly good for those with a small kitchen. The different ways you can stack your dishes/glasses and what not make it very versatile.

So why the less than perfect rating well... I've found the draining nozzle doesn't quite drip at the end. Drips tend to travel underneath and go back towards the draining tray a little and so you have to be careful to ensure that it really is draining back into the sink as intended. Of course this could be a kitchen bench design fault (ie my my kitchen bench isn't flat enough) but regardless I feel the tray and the nozzle could have been designed with a little more tilt (BTW - you should be thoughtful of the orientation and positioning of the draining tray. The cups which match the supporting steel prongs have a very sutle depth to provide the draining tilt necessary).

Contrary to other ratings I think the other features are well thought out. For example the length of the glass holder prongs are neither too tall to preclude using them for deep bowls nor too short to preclude most glasses/mugs.

Unfortunately this is one of those items you have to try out at home to really find out how good value it is as it depends largely on what your cockery/glassware is like. Even a visit to the store is unlikely to provide all the answers.

    I recommend this product.

  • Disk Rack

I like this dish rack except the glass holder stems are too short to hold a glass, works for cups or shot glasses. I like the individual slots for the knives and spaceous slots for silverware. Other reviews mentioned their counter tops still got wet. I found out that will happen if the drain spout lip is not hanging over your sink at least an inch so the water that runs along the underside of the drain spout can still fall into the sink. I like having the option of how I want to set it up, not being stuck with just one way. Overall I would buy again and do recommend the purchase, though I think it's alittle pricey; guess that's because of the stainless steel.

    I recommend this product.

  • dish rack

Love the design of the dish rack. I had hoped it would stand a bit taller on the counter. I have a large sink edge for the rack to go over. Unfortunately we still need to put something under the rack for it to drain into the sink. Love the utensil section and the little piece in the front for small items.

    I recommend this product.

  • the ultimate dish drain

I have been in search for the ultimate dish drain, and i finally found it in this one. It is large and the botton drain sits up off the counter and drains directly into the sink. No mess or water on the counter. I would recommend this to anyone.

Another great Oxo product! I haven't had any problems with drainage, but you do have to be careful about placing dishes. Works well and looks great.
