Condition is a problem
I had ordered this book as a gift, but because it has a soft cover and was shipped in soft packaging, it arrived with the edges damaged, so I no longer feel comfortable giving it to a friend. I'm sure I will enjoy it myself, but I would very much have liked a clean, undamaged copy. I will probably not order another gift book from Food Network in the future.

I was extremely disappointed that this "season" was not completed in the book; which I (and I'm sure many others) assumed would be in the book. You really should have offered a finalized product with this "season"'s winner included. We wouldn't have minded waiting another week or so to have a completed issue.

What a wonderful summary of the various seasons of Food Network Star. It was refreshing to see the photos and read updates of some of my favorite chefs. The quotes and tidbits from the the network's stars are fun to read and I will always remember Rachel Ray's advice to always keep smiling. Definitely a good purchase for anyone interested in the Food Network and the Food Network Star program. An excellent introduction by Bobby Flay highlights the book which includes an excellent index as well.

Brought back memories of the entire series; however, I wish there were more recipes in the book

This book is filled with recipes from the past and present food network hopefuls and winners. There are exciting pictures of their challenges. Each section takes each season and breaks it down by contestants and winners. I only wish they had completed the last season but there is always next time. It is a great book to look at with your family. It shares all kinds of tips for the kitchen.

I did want a cookbook of the recipies that were on the FN Star. I guess I don't need all the stuff about the show. I watched it so didn't needed a recap-I wanted more of the recipies. I bought a second one for a friend that doesn't watch the show, but would love the dishes, but it was more about the show than the food. I would have loved it to be more the other way around. I'm an empty nester,so like to make fun things for the two of us & also all the guests we have.

WIth all the advertising hype on the last few weeks of the show, and since it was not being released until the day after the results show, I expected more info about this season's cast. Instead there were only a few pages at the end and it was mostly about the prior seasons. Since the shows are obviously taped way in advance I found it somewhat misleading. That being said, it was fun to read, some interesting info and receipes.

It was advertised as a cookbook, but is largely self-agrandisement, with comparatively few recipes. They did not fulfill the purpose for which I bought two of them (gifts).

I must have misunderstood what the book was about. I was very disappointed that the final season had so little in the book. I was expecting more about that episode since the first I heard of the book was during this episode. It had so few pages and so few recipes of interest that it made me feel I miss informed. The price wasn't bad but I would have rather waited for a month to get the book and you to have added more about the last episode or offered a supplement to it. Next time I will read more carefully what I am buying.

Excellent book, reading it was almost like watching the shows all over again. I liked the color, the recipes and the behind-the-scenes interviews. One thing I wouldn't have objected if the book came out a little later, so that the full Season Seven results could have been included. That said, I enjoyed it a lot. I would like to see similar books about other series such as the Food Truck races, Iron Chef, and Chopped.

I expected more recipes in the book the recipes it does have are not what I would like to cook. I guess I did not pay attention when I ordered the book what it was about.

The only thing I would have changed would be, I would have waited to put in the Jeff won this season!

I looked through the Insider's Guide and it is interesting. I am disappointed that I paid for two books, but only received one(1) "Signed Bookplate", when I should have received 2 (two). I did not realize it would be signed by the current and past two winners. I do wish that there were more recipes by this season's contestants; I am especially interested in the aiole that Vic used for his Lobster Roll, and also if Jeff has a recipe for one specific for Lobster/Crab.

This book is really fun. Really shows the evolution of foodies. Like to be able to go back and see the hosts today when they were contestants. Their recipes are great
