With the Ball FreshTECH Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker, you can treat your family to delectable fresh fruit preserves and spreads at any time. The appliance provides an easy, fast process for making old-fashioned jam. You can choose to make a variety of spreads with fruit ingredients like blueberries, peaches or strawberries along with pectin, sugar and butter. You can even make a reduced-sugar recipe for low calorie jam.
The innovative new Jam Maker appliance will make a fruit spread in just 30 minutes. Instead of the traditional time-consuming large batch canning method, the user friendly jam and jelly maker can make small batches. Now you can try-out fun new recipes and experiment with old recipes without the commitment of making a large batch. After washing and crushing 2 2/3 cups of fruit, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of pectin over the fruit and add 1/2 teaspoon of butter. With just a press of the jam button, the unit begins stirring and cooking the ingredients. The maker will signal when it’s time for the 3 1/3 cups of sugar, which should be added gradually.
Once the jam-making process is complete, the jam maker will emit a signal. With the jam and jelly maker, you will no longer question if the recipe has cooked for the proper time. In addition, families can enjoy the fruit creation immediately, or you can continue the preservation process. If you decide to preserve the jam, just bottle the product in freezer-safe jars or finish canning by adding the jam-filled jars to a boiling water bath. The appliance can make about 4 (8oz) half pints of jam or jelly during each batch.

This does not cut down the time only the mess of stirring and I think it could have costed a little less sinc you can only make a few jars at a time

I made three cooking's of peach jam in one after noon and it was a joy to not have the jam stick to the pan or to have to stand over the stove to keep stirring the pot. I really love my new Automatic Jam & Jelly Maker. I have already recommended to one of my friends, that she needed to come to see my machine and order her one of her own.

I have wanted to try my hand at making jam/jelly for a very long time. It does not get much easier than this. I guess after purchasing and using this I would have given it a 5 star rating if it had offer a unit with the possibilities of making larger batches. But, for making small batches of 2 pints at a time your not going to beat it. I have made jam for immediate use and also canned a few batches as gifts and it was a big hit both ways. I've never canned before and it was simple simple simple!! Fresh home made is always a popular gift. More expensive than store bought jams but more rewarding to make things in your own kitchen.

This appliance makes jelly making so unbelievably easy. I used to do a lot of canning years ago and got away from it because of time constraints. I had made a batch or two of jelly recently and forgot how time consuming it can be and how carefully you needed to watch the cooking to the gel point. I have made three batches of jelly with this new maker recently and it was so easy and quick! Can't wait to try some jam as well. Thanks for such a wonderful product!

Not enough recipes - or even fruit options. I am working on - but it gets a bit expensive. I am especially interested in the low sugar recipes. I ran out of pectin and I guess you are my only vendor

I love this it makes jelly and jam making so easy. I only wish it would make more at a time but I still love it. I have made so much jam and jelly my family is loving this. I did make a mistake at first by measuring my pectin I used teaspoons instead of tablespoons so be careful with that . Just read the instructions good and you will have the perfect jam and jelly every time.

This is the perfect home jelly maker. We are on our third batch and each has been simply...perfect! Takes the guesswork out of the timing and does the blending and mixing for you

This machine i VERY easy to use. It only makes small batches (4 1/2 pts) though. But, it does it in 30 minutes. It worked well for me because, while it is cooking, I am getting my four other jars sterilized and ready for the next batch.

I have only used this once and it was pretty handy. I wish it was a little smaller in size as it's difficult to find a place to store it. 1) Easy to clean up and directions are easy to follow.

I made my first jam batch in the Jam & Jelly Maker. The Makers instructions are simple to follow as well as the recipes in the booklet which help you get started. I canned peach jam to store away for the winter. I changed the recipe in the book by lightly adding a few spices to enhance the peach flavor. It turned out great and my daughter and grand daughter told me it tasted very good. Good enough to give away as gifts. I'm really pleased with the experience and can't wait to make some more jams or jelly.

This is so simple to use. I bought it for my niece for her birthday who has a 1 yr. old and a very active 4 yr. She made the Pommegranite jam so far and said it was so simple. She gave me a jar (she canned them) and it is delicious. I plan on buying one for myself.

I like jelly, but hate the mess of it. This appliance takes the guess work out of jelly making ,with less sugar, for a perfect product when following their recipes. My family is smaller now but the extended family love my cooking and my jams and now they will get to have my jellies too!

I think your jelly/jam maker for new canners will be a great thing for them. For me it made far to small of batches. I have been canning 50 plus years. When I taught canning this product would have been great to show the students. So you might talk with extension offices of universities. I returned my maker for the above reasons.
