With the Ball FreshTECH Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker, you can treat your family to delectable fresh fruit preserves and spreads at any time. The appliance provides an easy, fast process for making old-fashioned jam. You can choose to make a variety of spreads with fruit ingredients like blueberries, peaches or strawberries along with pectin, sugar and butter. You can even make a reduced-sugar recipe for low calorie jam.
The innovative new Jam Maker appliance will make a fruit spread in just 30 minutes. Instead of the traditional time-consuming large batch canning method, the user friendly jam and jelly maker can make small batches. Now you can try-out fun new recipes and experiment with old recipes without the commitment of making a large batch. After washing and crushing 2 2/3 cups of fruit, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of pectin over the fruit and add 1/2 teaspoon of butter. With just a press of the jam button, the unit begins stirring and cooking the ingredients. The maker will signal when it’s time for the 3 1/3 cups of sugar, which should be added gradually.
Once the jam-making process is complete, the jam maker will emit a signal. With the jam and jelly maker, you will no longer question if the recipe has cooked for the proper time. In addition, families can enjoy the fruit creation immediately, or you can continue the preservation process. If you decide to preserve the jam, just bottle the product in freezer-safe jars or finish canning by adding the jam-filled jars to a boiling water bath. The appliance can make about 4 (8oz) half pints of jam or jelly during each batch.

Product only worked the first two batches!

Makes jelly and jam super easy. No fuss. Hardest part is putting it in the jars to store it. Made grape jelly and turned right around and made pear jam. Both turned out excellent. So easy to use. Easy clean up too!!!! If you can boil water and make toast, you can make homemade jelly!!

I make a lot of jam. This seemed like it would be great to make small batches of jam when I just want to use fruit that is at peak season and to keep my supply of jam current. This little machine is really great for just that. It is so easy to use and while it's cooking you have time to get the other items ready (jars, lids, etc.) I think I will be getting a lot of use out of this Jam and Jelly Maker.

Was disappointed that the handle on the lid wasn't there, so it couldn't be used right away which messed with my tight schedule. That said, customer service was very quick to send it. Got the batch made in time for gifting which was what I was hoping for. I think it worked beautifully. It does make a limited amount, I got 8 small jars of jelly. I wouldn't want more so it's perfect for me. Over all, I think my biggest complaint would be not enough recipes. I'm a novice at canning so I'm a bit intimidated to try to work other recipes to this machine. I would recommend this.

My husband and I have been making jam and jellies for several years. Our speciality is the Apricot Jalapeno jam. And with this machine you use powdered pectin we normally use the liquid pectin. We were so impresed with the flavor of the jam using powered pectin. And the fact that we don't have to stand over a hot boiling pot of the jam and getting all of the fumes from the jalapenos and the other peppers we put in it. And the clean up is so easy. We have made Strawberry jam and also blueberry jam. It is soooo easy using this wonderful machine.

We got this because I've never made Jelly that turned out jelled well every time. We have done several patches with this Jam & Jelly maker and so far it works every time. I don't have to stand there and stir all the time till my arm falls off. We love it!!!!!

I bought this item because it was on sale, free shipping and a free box of jelly jars. Quite a deal and well worth it. I immediately made two batches of jam. It was so easy and about 60% less time making jam the old way. Both batches turned out perfectly. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to whip up a small batch of jam/jelly. The machine will produce up to 8-4 oz jars. There are a few basic recipes that come with the jelly maker, and I look forward to experimenting. Clean up is a snap, and it looks well made. Perfect Christmas/Birthday gift for foodies in your circle of friends and family.

This unit works super well. My wife loves it. She makes jam in half the time and it is much better than the old way. When she first saw it she was not sure about the price but she got it and it works so well, the price is great for the item does.

This is the easiest product I have ever used to make jam and jellies. There is hardly any mess and the jam is great tasting and soooo easy to make. Whom ever came up with this idea needs to get a raise! I used to can jams when I was younger over the stove and hope the pectin and sugar ratio was correct. Also, hope that my arm didn't fall off with all the stirring then the clean-up was forever trying to get the gelled product off of the pot. Thank you for comming up with this product I can now enjoy homemade jams and jellies again and not have to get a dictionary to know what the ingredients are in the product. I am hoping that you come up with more reciepes for the maker like Apricot.
