With the Ball FreshTECH Automatic Jam and Jelly Maker, you can treat your family to delectable fresh fruit preserves and spreads at any time. The appliance provides an easy, fast process for making old-fashioned jam. You can choose to make a variety of spreads with fruit ingredients like blueberries, peaches or strawberries along with pectin, sugar and butter. You can even make a reduced-sugar recipe for low calorie jam.
The innovative new Jam Maker appliance will make a fruit spread in just 30 minutes. Instead of the traditional time-consuming large batch canning method, the user friendly jam and jelly maker can make small batches. Now you can try-out fun new recipes and experiment with old recipes without the commitment of making a large batch. After washing and crushing 2 2/3 cups of fruit, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of pectin over the fruit and add 1/2 teaspoon of butter. With just a press of the jam button, the unit begins stirring and cooking the ingredients. The maker will signal when it’s time for the 3 1/3 cups of sugar, which should be added gradually.
Once the jam-making process is complete, the jam maker will emit a signal. With the jam and jelly maker, you will no longer question if the recipe has cooked for the proper time. In addition, families can enjoy the fruit creation immediately, or you can continue the preservation process. If you decide to preserve the jam, just bottle the product in freezer-safe jars or finish canning by adding the jam-filled jars to a boiling water bath. Jam & Jelly Maker

This has been the best product I have used in quite awhile. I have been extremely please with the finished products every time I have used it. I have made plum jelly, blackberry jelly, peach jam, strawberry jam and all have turned out perfect. I have followed the recipes that came with the machine exactly. I like that I don't have to stand over the hot stove and stir and hope I process it just right, with this machine there is no guess work it cuts off just at the right time. I love it.

This is a great item to have for anyone who loves fresh jelly or jam. I do have a few things I dont like. Each batch is very small and then you have to wait 30min's between batches. Other than that this is a great item to own.

I wasn't sure how well this would work and to my great pleasure, it is perfect. It makes the process so easy. No stiring over a hot stove and for the most part no foam to skim. It is amazing.

I have used the jammer once. Worked great and made a nice apple jelly. Wish is made a larger volume and I didn't like the wait time between batches. Understand why that is but if I want a greater volume of jam I end up spending the same amount of time as if I made a big batch on stove. I would recommend the product for those who don't make large volume of jam.

I really love it, but wish it would be a little larger to make a larger batch. My friend found it at Target for under $80 that really bothered me since I spent $125 through your store. Also don't like the fact that I have to create an account in order to track my shipment.

We loved this product. Love how easy it is to use an love that it stirs the jam & jelly all by it self. We only wished it could do bigger batches at once. A suggestion to Ball would be to Design a bigger pot for those of us who love to make big batches at once to fill more jars at one time. For those who make big batches you would have to have three Automatic Jam & Jelly Makers, to accomplish this. All in all, this is a very good product and highly recommend it. No more splatter mess on the stove and counter tops even with the splatter screens on top of the big pots done the usual way. Easy Clean up.

Using the Automatic Jam and Jelly maker was such a relaxing experience. I love making jams and jellies for gifts, and this machine cuts the time dramaticaly. My one gripe (totally outweighed by the convenience), is that the machine only makes very small batches. The nonstick interior does make cleaning a breeze, however. By the time you've filled and sealed your jars, it's easily ready to go for the next batch. I just wish you didn't have to make so many batches to get a good amount for storage. The fact that I don't have to stand over the stove is a dream! It allows me to make jam while I'm doing dishes from dinner. I can seal the jars at night and leave them on the counter overnight while the family is sleeping. It's just fantastic! I think I have plenty of friends who may wind up with this time saver for Christmas! Especially at such a reasonable price! The one recipe adjustment that I would make is to use a little less pectin than is called for in the supplied recipes. That is simply my own taste, however. Other than that, I've been very pleased with my purchase and my friends and family have raved over all the fun jams and jellies that come from this machine. What a fun new toy!

Our Jam and Jelly maker arrived without a recipe book or instruction manual. When we finally did receive the instructions and recipe book three weeks after the arrival of the jelly maker, the screw that holds the lid to the cap was too short. My husband had to go buy one to fit. I will never order from Ball Fresh Perserving Store again. Kim Nethercutt

I purchased this product to make orange marmalade and lemon curd. neither of these recipes were options for this machine. I was told my technical support that no one had ever asked for these options, so no testing had been done to produce recipes for them. This machine is very limited in its applications.

I LOVE this product. Being retired and just the two of us, this is just what we needed. I can make jam or jelly year-round in the quantities we like. We like a variety but I hated doing a large quantity of several different jams or jellies in the fall and then ending up with more than we could use. I'm going to freeze fruit in the quantities needed and then pull it out as we want that kind of jam. The ease of use is amazing. No standing over a hot kettle, stirring for minutes on end. I plan to use it to make jams & jellies for gifts at Christmastime this year. I don't think you could go wrong with this unit.

Actually my husband saw this in the Grit Magazine and had me order it. It was easy to order and arrived as scheduled. The 1st Saturday and Sunday, my husband and I worked together trying out cookings of jam and jelly. It is so very easy. We bought juice and fruit and everything turns out PERFECT! Now every day my husband is making jelly on his own, trying out his own recipies. He is giving jelly and jam to all our friends and family and challenging the guys to order their own "maker", for themselves if their wives are not so inclined. Thanks Fresh Preserving, you have created a monster :) Hey, let me know if you have a sales job for this retired man.

I bought this so my Special needs daughter could help me more making jams and jellies. This is easy enough she helps making several types. She is getting very good at helping, make cherry jam, and strawberry the recipies are easy for her to follow and the beeps are great for her to add the sugar. This is a great product for the price.

Got my machine and love it! It may not be practical for larger families, but for households of 1 to 4 it's perfect. Canned jellies and jams have a shelf life, and we like verity. So making many small batches of different flavors is perfect for us. Love not having to stand there and stir, and can use that time to do other things in the kitchen. Clean up is also a breeze. One tip they should add to the book - If the fruit in your jam floats, you didn't smash it enough. If you like the larger pieces, use about 1/2 cup of the sugar that you would add later, into the fruit and wait 30 minutes to an hour, before putting in the machine.

This was a splurge as far as the amount of use. It is easy to use and clean. Glad the pan was detactable from the heating element. However, when purchasing, I didn't see that it was detactable. The time it took to make jam was amazing. The quality of the product was excellent. I had no foam at the end. Will make some other jams and jellies.

It is perfect for quick jams and small amounts of fruit. I really like the fact that I don't have to spend a ton of time prepping. It is really important to pay attention to your ingredients. I didn't add butter to prevent foaming and had a mess to clean. I can't wait for the holidays-easy jams to create and give-away.

I really like the product itself, as it definitely made jam making a breeze! It is a little pricey though. I would expect this to cost about the same as a crock pot. Note, you have to cool 30 min between batches. But, it is easy to clean!
