Even coarse kosher salt simply falls out

I was looking for a simple stainless steel salt and pepper grinder set to use on the table... Pros: *They are a nice, small size for table use. *It's easy to load pepper. *You can see how full/empty they are. Cons: *Coarse kosher salt pours out of the bottom when you attempt to load it. *There is a knob that can affect how coarse or fine the grinding mechanism is (and the size of the opening to prevent salt from pouring through)... but just turning it doesn't do anything. You have to push up on part of the grinder underneath, to make the post stick up more at the top, which you can then screw the knob onto further. *You need to unscrew this same knob to load it, so if you're wanting to put salt in one of them, you need to manually push up on the grinder while loading it to prevent the salt from pouring out, then proceed with the remaining steps. *Both the size and the grinding mechanism aren't a good option if you're looking to grind very much at a time. If you're looking for small pepper (or other large spice) grinders, this would work. However, the difficulty of loading and setting the position of the grinder correctly for salt is what resulted in such a low rating.

Definitely the smallest salt and pepper mill I have ever seen. Very happy with the size. Material is solid and heavy stainless steel. These don’t feel light cheap even though they are so small. Everything I could recommend to improve them would compromise the neat size. Very happy.

I've gone through many salt and pepper shakers. These are made of a high polished stainless steel that will last forever. They always make a statement because of their petite size, but they dispense ample seasoning with a consistent flow unlike my previous set. They get my stamp of approval.

These little salt and pepper grinders are wonderful. I had ordered them to have something a little nicer for the holidays. We got a lot of compliments and peaople loved them. They grind the salt/pepper perfectly. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend.
