The great feature for this product is there are no moving parts. This feature eliminates any buildup from prior uses. It certainly makes a perfect round ball of ice cream.

Well made scoop bought as a Christmas gift. I did not use it, but inspected it and am very pleased with the manufacture. Definitely a product I would buy again.
