great gift

This was a gift for my husband who does most all of the cooking in our house. He loved it ! A nice extra was the lid that came with it, will be great for storage for chilling doughs

Cost

My only 'negative' is the cost of the mixing bowl. I would have liked it a whole lot more for one third less on the price. My wife is happy with it so in the end, I'm satisfied.

I love glass bowls. I think things look great in them, so when I saw Kitchen aid made a glass bowl, I wanted one. My stand mixer is on my counter all the time, & the glass bowl makes the mixer blend in well with my kitchen, a little more inconspicuous than that metal bowl sitting on my mixer. I think its a little too pricey for just a glass bowl though.

updates my KitchenAid mixer

This is a wonderful update to my 14 year old mixer. Now having the clear glass, the handle as well as the cover has me using the mixer more than I have lately. It is more maneuverable because of the handle and easier to pour the mix into the baking pans. I appreciate the glass bowl and being able to see the whole process. I am glad I have this now and I wish I had bought it sooner.

Price

I like the product so far although I am not sure that it is made to fit my mixer because it is a bit loose in the base. Also I think it might be a bit high priced.

Love it!

I expected a glass bowl of this size to be heavy but was after the pouring spout feature. I am delightfully surprised that it is not heavy, handles very well and the pouring spout is a great addition, when mixing batters. So happy I decided to purchase it!

Heavy

This is a great bowl because of the glass. You can see what's mixing(great for the kids). It is a heavy bowl so you have to be careful with it. I also love the pouring spout as well as the cover. It is a bit pricey but overall a nice addition to my stand mixer's accessories.

Love my new KitchenAid Glass Mixing Bowl

Used my new glass 5 qt bowl the other day and was able to mix up two recipes for Zuchinni Bread. I love being able to see the product through the bowl so you can see how well it is mixing.

its a gift

the bowl is a christmas gift for my daughter in France who has a Kitchenaid and who wanted an extra bowl but it is sooo expensive in France. I wish you had international shipping but will take it to her when I go in december.

Glass bowl versus metal

I prefer using a glass bowl for whipping egg whites. This one has a convenient handle so is much easier to use. The cover is useful for chilling the mixture in the fridge.

Price on mixing bowl

Could be lower in price debated about spending that much money for it but it is a very heavy glass and I have used it already. Splatter guard doesn't stay on it very well so usually hold on to it while pouring something that might throw flour or liquid out.

Big bowl!

I think the price is a little steep for a glass bowl, but it is awesome to be able to see if everything is mixed!
