It is great for measuring but I also thought it was larger than holding 4 cups. It appeared to be taller and I was expecting it to hold 2 quarts for juice as well. It is easy to see the measuring scale which comes in really handy.

This is great to make my pancake batter in. I can pour it out in to the skillet and what is left, I can put the lid on and refrigerate the remaining batter till another time.
