A great improvement over the rolling pin. The large flat surface prevents divets in the meat, and it's weight helps. I also like that I can use lots of hot soapy water for cleaning without worrying about wood.

We both liked the feel of the grip which made pounding much easier. The weight is evenly distributed and it's just the right weight ... not too heavy, not too light. It thins the meat but doesn't mash or mush it. It's easy to clean but fitting it into the drawer for storage was interesting. We decided to leave it on the countertop instead. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
