Move over, OXO! The Zyliss is my NEW FAVORITE

by Cynthia, NY
February 9, 2007

I LOVE salad - and I eat a LOT of it. A reliable salad spinner is a MUST for someone like me. That said, I always had a special place in my heart for (and recommended to everyone I knew) the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner. NO LONGER. When the spinning mechanism (hidden within the one major drawback to the OXO - that big uvula-like protuberance which hangs down from the lid, taking up valuable space in the basket) inexplicably stopped working, I went shopping for a new one. I decided to give the Zyliss a try - not sure how I would like the pull-cord method, but wanting that extra room in the basket for storing my lettuce/greens. And I'm here to tell you, am I ever glad I did! There is clearly more storage available AND the pull-cord works so smoothly, so effortlessly, it's almost fun! The push-button

Salad Spinner Keeps Lettuce Longer

by Irene, GA
December 4, 2008

This is a very sturdy product and a great addition to my kitchen. Not only does it do a great job of removing the water from my salad greens, it also keeps my greens fresh and crisp for a really long time in the refrigerator. I just spin, remove the water from the bowl, then pop the whole thing in and there is always crisp lettuce ready for salad! I love it!

It's a little awkward with the rip cord!

I couldn't live without a salad spinner! I had a 'cheap' one that broke after a year. It had one of those hand pumps. I figured I would invest in a good brand name instead of buying the cheaper ones every couple of years! What kind of savings was that! I really like the Zyliss - the quality is evident. I also like the warranty!

Best Salad Spinner Ever!

This is so worth the money! It keeps your salad greens fresh for much longer and you can conveniently store them right in the bowl itself. Highly recommended!

You have to be careful to make sure the spinner stays put- there is rubber oon the bottom but it still can move when you get it going. I love this spinner though- I have even used it for grapes, strawberries and other small fruit and vegetables. Because the inner basket spins the fruit gets clean and doesn't get damaged.

I have purchased cheaper salad spinners over the years and have never been happy with them. They were filmsy, prone to developing problems, and generally unreliable. The Zyliss model is very sturdy and gives me a feeling that it can handle the salad fixings I put in it with ease. The brake is also a wonderful feature. I am completely satisfied with this product and recommend it without reservations.

This was a gift so I am not sure how well it works. I have a one similar and love my salad spinner. I do think it is a bit pricey.

The Easy Spin Salad Spinner by Zyliss exceedes my expectations. It is easier than I ever thought it would be.I really love it. One pull of the cord & my salad greens are almost dry.
I used other salad spinners, but ended up giving those away because they didn't do the job I was expecting.

Difficult to stabilize salad spinner

by Joan, IL
September 13, 2007

Spinner top wants to fly off while pulling on the cord. It's a workout to increase the speed. It's also not convenient to have to empty the large bowl of water so it doens't keep the contents wet. I would prefer a spinner that has a perforated large bowl. This large bowl can be used as a salad bowl but it's only dishwasher safe on the top rack and that's not so convenient. I think the design flaws are significant so I would not recommend it.

Super Easy for Great, Quick Salads

by Nellyn, CA
November 26, 2007

I love my new salad spinner, I got it in green! Pulling on the cord is much more user-friendly than some of the other salad spinners where you have to pump or press down on a big knob. The Zyliss is much easier and more gentle on the wrist. I highly recommend this product!

Well for the price it was a little high, because of its limited use. But I purchased it for my daughter, she seems to like it, so I guess it was worth the money

Easy to use, large bowl is perfect for big salads! Family members encouraged me to buy one of these for years -- not sure what took me so long, but it really is a must-have for the kitchen.

The best overall!

by Mary, CA
June 12, 2007

I have had no -name and Oxo spinners and this is the best in design/durability/ease and construction. Completely dries greens, and leaves salads crisp and ready for tossing.
