bowl is too small for the money. the price should be lowered (dollar stores used to sell them for a dollar, and they were a lot bigger). No, I would not recommend this to anybody.

I love this product! Its so much easier than going back and fourth to the trash can, I just wish it was cheaper considering it is just a garbage bowl..its not like you serve anything in it.

Green Garbage Bowl

I love this bright green Bowl! It is perfect for popcorn for the Kids - they love it too. It is bigger than I expected and the non-slip ring on the bottom makes it user friendly. Fun to use when I have guests; it's a conversation piece!

Poor quality

This bowl looks so pretty and sturdy on TV, but in actuality is quite the opposite. I was so excited when I ordered it, but was quite disappointed when I took it out of the box. I woudn't recommend to anyone. Way too expensive for the quality of the merchandise. It's a shame.

Mine broke

I love the color and the concept. However on Easter Sunday mine was knocked off the counter while shifting food around and broke into pieces. I have a wood floor and rarely does anything break even if it hits the floor. But it broke like a fine thin china piece. I have other melamine bowls that are much thicker so I will just use one of those.

Very thin, light, and kind of cheaply made material, not as heavy as was made out to be. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Product is not heavy at all meaning thin wall

This product is a thin wall unit. In fact the first one came to me cracked and the box was in mint condition. Not like the Texas ware that was an old time favorite. Would have spent a few more dollars to make this a more heavy duty product.

I thought it was a little overpriced for a plastic bowl.

Too small...

When I ordered this bowl, I thought it was the size I have seen on the cooking show by Rachel Ray - which is why I ordered it. It is quite a bit smaller, necessitating emptying it a great many more times while preparing the meal - otherwise it overflows onto the counter.

Construction and Material

The thinness of the bowl surprised me. It was not sturdy. I have older bowls made along the same lines as this but they have never crack if they were dropped on the cabinet a bare 3-4 inches. I did really like the color. My others are old school browns and gold-brown It was nice. Wish it had lasted longer.

Bowl larger than I thought it would be and I think it is over price. Thought it would be glass not plastic.

useful & attractive!

This bowl is a useful item and much larger than I thought it would be. I like having it on my counter for many reasons. The non-slip bottom holds it in place too. A good buy!

Surprised how much I STILL like it!

After having watched one of Rachel's 30 Minute Meals shows, I was intrigued with the time-saving idea of using a dedicated garbage bowl to streamline the prep process. I later read an article in Cook's Illustrated about the Mise En Place process for professional cooks - which is the same thing! It's a French term for having all your ingredients prepped and ready to go before starting you start cooking. That means everything is cleaned, peeled, chopped, diced, measured out, whatever's necessary to get the ingredients ready prior to preparing your dish. So, I decided to give this bowl a try. I like that it has a no-slip rubberized bottom and high, flared sides to hold lots of stuff. It goes through the dishwasher (top shelf) easily, and is not mistaken as a serving bowl due to the bright colors. This bowl, used for Mise en Place, helps me fix great food faster for my family.

The first bowl I ordered came to me broken into pieces, but a new one was shipped out immediately, great customer service. It is nice that it has the non-skid bottom, but I think you could use any old bowl for a garbage bowl, even get one from the dollar store, it does only hold garbage so you don't have to run back and forth to the garbage can. It is a great idea.

Green Garbage Bowl Saves Time

Ever since watching Rachael's shows I've seen her garbage bowl. I finally pre-ordered this green one and I absolutely loved the convenience of it. It's a great size and I love the fact that it has non slip rubber on the bottom. It saves me time having to scrape off my onion and garlic pealings into the garbage can. I can just cook, chop and put all my garbage there and throw it all out afterwards. Thanks Rachael for an amazing product.

great garbage!!

I had always wanted to purchase this item and was glad that it came back on the internet to buy. it is large and we use it for our compost items and it is colorful to look at in the sink.

GREEN GARBAGE BOWL

I loved this bowl, the first time I purchased it, several years ago. Unfortunately it was knocked off the counter and broke when it hit the floor. Saw it recently with improved non slip bottom and thought I would try again. I have used several times and am in love again! The grip is working so it will be much harder to fall off counter. I rated a 4 only because the material the bowl is made of appears to be the same as my previous one. If it was non breakable it would be a 5 for sure.

I love this dump bowl. It is exactly as described, color bright and vibrant, a litte bigger than I expected. I have watched Rachel use a dump bowl for a long tie and knew it worked well for her. I'm glad I finally am able to own my own!

Everyone should have at least one of these!!
