This is the greatest!!!

I recommend this tool to anyone that likes avocados. It is very easy to use, does what it is intended to, and cleans up easily. It is the best invention since sliced bread.

Perhaps not a necessity, but pretty darn neat

I really like this product.. it slices and removes the pit from avocado's. I am not real good at cutting evenly so this is perfect for me to make my meals look more professional. I love avocado's so this gets alot of use in my house.

A Gadget that Works

I love avocado and eat them frequently. All you have to do is cut the avocado in half...one end of the tool removes the pit, the other end evenly slices and separates the avocado from the skin (insert the tool at the wider end of the avocado half and with doward pressure slide it toward the stem end). It works prerfectly for the California Hass avocados. It would be too small to work for the large Florida variety.

I AM NOT A GADGET PERSON (MY HUSBAND IS) BUT I LOVE THIS AVOCADO SLICER. IT PITS, PEELS AND SLICES VERY WELL. - SOMETHING THAT IS DIFFICULT TO DO WITH JUST A KNIFE.

This works like a charm. Easy to use.

Slice your avocado in two and this does the rest. Fan out those slices and impress your guests. I bought one for my mother-in-law and she loves it too.

It was a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law.

I was given one of the these as a gift last year and although we don't eat avocados often it is the greatest tool for it's job since sliced bread. I got one for my brother's family and they eat avocados on a regular basis; they love it as much as I do.

Great Slicer

I put this in my girlfriend's stocking for Christmas. She really likes it a lot. It does everything that it says it will do and it was only like 10 bucks. Great product. Thanks food network!!

Disappointed in product

Perhaps it is just me, but I have cut many avacados in my life and this is very frustrating! It just doesn't work the way I anticipated and I am disappointed with this purchase. In theory, it sounds great. In reality, not so great...

MY AVOCADO SLICER 'N SPLITTER

WE LOVE OUR AVOCADO IN VARIUS WAYS...SALADS, ON HAMBURGERS, GUACALMOLE, ETC. ANOTHER GREAT BUY FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE ARTHRITIC HANDS (EXCEPT SEVERE CASES). TAKES NO TIME TO SLICE AND PIT AN AVOCADO. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS KITCHEN TOOL.

Slice and Dice

I only gave it a 3 because I wanted it to be able to slice 1/2 an avacodo at a time. Just like the picture above leads you to believe but I haven't bought any mini avacados either. It does slice well on a firm avacado once you cut it down to size. It fits well in the drawer full of other helpful products. I still would reccomend just know you have to cut it up in possibly 1/4 first.

Need more practice to use it

You would need to practice with few avocado before you can use it prefectly fine.

WHAT A SURPRISE!

I HAD MY DOUBTS WHEN PURCHASING THE AVOCADO SLICER AND PITTER.. BUT WHEN IT ARRIVED I WAS IN AWWWW. IT REALLY WORKED. THE FIRST TIME! AND ELIMINATES A LOT OF MESS AND MISHAPS. IT'S A MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE AN AVOCADO AVOCATE.

Good idea, Bad execution

I eagerly awaited the arrival of the Avacaco Slider and Pitter, knowing that I had ordered one for my wife and one to be sent to my mother. My wife as cut her thumb 3 times over the years, while removing the pit from the fruits. I got a call from mom thanking me when hers arrived. She was excited. The following day, ours arrived. I looked it over and thought the quality was pretty good, well made, tough, seems like it would be durable. We purchased some avacados to try the tool out. What a disappointment. In my opinion, the tool was designed for use on only the largest of the fruits. The pitting hoop is entirely too large for a proper fit to a smaller pit. Same goes for the slicer hoop. As I drew the slicer hoop through the meat of the fruit, the hoop was so much wider than the fruit, that the hoop just tore the sides of the fruit and made a mess out of the avacado.
Sadly, I had the realization that my mom also has one of these tools. I asked her what she thought, and she pretty much echoed my opinion.
If you have fairly large, somewhat firm avacados to cut, then this tool could be useful. If they are like we get here in the off season, forget about it. Use a spoon for the whole operation and you'll be a lot better off.

Love it! Makes having avocados much more fun!

Great Avacado Slicer

This is such a fun product to have and use. I've not found an avacado yet that was too large for it. It offers perfict slices every time and there is very little, if any, meat left in the rind.
