At last, an egg poacher that is satisfactory!
I love good poached eggs, but I have always disliked the mess that gets made whenever eggs are poached - sticky, hard-to-clean pans, especially. This little gem takes care of the whole problem, quickly and neatly. And it's fun to use!
Just crack an egg and drop it into an oiled PoachPod. Then float the PoachPod in a water-filled sauté pan, and place a cover on it. (That seems like fun to me!) In a few minutes, a perfectly cooked, perfectly shaped poached egg will be ready. Tur te PoachPod inside-out with a quick push, and the egg is ready to be admired – and then consumed! It's very easy to clean the PoachPod. Thoroughly satisfactory!
PoachPods are great!
I love poached eggs but have never been able to do it in the traditional way. I also tried some microwave versions but those never worked very well either. The PoachPod worked perfectly the first time. It seems a little expensive, though.

I purchased the PoachPods after reading a review on America's Test Kitchen. Poaching eggs before in boiling water was a crap shoot. I never knew what they were going to end up like. And forget 'eggs as you like them'; they came out however they came out - usually overdone and rubbery.
Now with the PoachPods - perfect eggs every time! I lightly oil each pod and place in boiling water. I crack each egg into a cup and then pour into the pod resting in the water. I cover, turn down the heat so it's just barely boiling and cook 5 minutes. I use a rubber spatula to loosen the eggs from the Pods. VOILA! Perfect eggs! They are pretty dense (they are in the shape of the cup), so I cut holes in the toast or place on toasted bagels if I'm doing eggs benedict.
This makes the most evenly poached eggs of anything I have tried, and the easy release from the silicone is incomparable. I ordered these for gifts after using them myself. They are little on the expensive side, but comparable to most silicone products.
