This matte gray slotted spatula from Matfer is flexible so it can lift and turn delicate fish, omelets, and other sautéed foods without injuring them. Modeled after the traditional stainless steel fish spatula, with its full-length 4 1/2" slots for draining fat and angled front edge for better maneuvering, this is the “next generation” version, made from synthetic materials that won't damage our modern nonstick surfaces. The handle is grooved for a better grip and ends with a wide notch for hanging.

Great product

I wasn't sure about ordering on line, but once receiving this spatula and after using it, it's the first spatula I grab for whatever I am cooking. It is a great tool to have for your kitchen.

Mother-in-law Protection

by Arthur Garry, NY
April 12, 2008

Every summer my mother -in- law stays with us, all my non-stick pans need to be tossed. Stay tuned for further evaluation if I don't need to toss them this year. I wish the edge was a little thinner - MiL makes Norwegian pancake several times a week, so I really can't complain about a few pans every year.

Flip It

by Gary, AZ
December 11, 2007

I bought this product to flip delicate foods (fish on grill, omelets, etc) and it has worked well. It is firm enough to flip, and thin enough to slip easily under food. I was worried about it melting on a hot grill, but no problem. It is highly rated by Cooks Illustrated as a Best Value over spatulas costing $60, and I see no reason to pay the extra money, unless you need to use all-metal tools!

Flexible Yet Substancial

by Leo, RI
January 11, 2008

This spatula feels good in my hand, yet still has the flexibility to easily slide under an omelet and flip it with ease. It has not shown any damage from heat, and cleans up easily. I like it!

Got to be used in a non-stick frypan. So far has handled everything I've cooked, from sauted fish filets to omelets extremely well.
