This matte gray slotted spatula from Matfer is flexible so it can lift and turn delicate fish, omelets, and other sautéed foods without injuring them. Modeled after the traditional stainless steel fish spatula, with its full-length 4 1/2" slots for draining fat and angled front edge for better maneuvering, this is the “next generation” version, made from synthetic materials that won't damage our modern nonstick surfaces. The handle is grooved for a better grip and ends with a wide notch for hanging.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • This spatula is great. It's very thin, but strong. I initially got it to use on my nonstick skillets, but the high temp rating allows me to use it in my cast iron and stainless as well. It’s wide enough for cookies and eggs and pancakes, however the tapered end even allows me to cut butter and add it while cooking.

    I recommend this product.

Husband loves this spatula since he does alot of cooking, we have others in the same shape but he really likes this one. If it would go on sale I'd get another.

  • Slotted Pelton Spatula 12 inch

This is a very nice spatula, but awkward for a left hander - also not easy to flip anything, but the slots are great and easy to clean - great for the non stick surfaces - I wash by hand but is quick to clean.

I like the ergo designed handle, the light weight and the thin edge. I didn't realize that it was plastic when I ordered it but it works and handles a very hot dishwasher beautifully.

Performs as expected, as described on America's Test Kitchen. I got two, to be able to use two at a time in my non-stick skillet. Recommended.

  • I originally bought one for use with a non-stick skillet, but it became what I reach for all the time. I've included one of these in the box of cooking gadgets I've given to each of my nieces when they set up their first kitchen.

Perhaps when I am used to this I will give it a higher rating. It is very slippery and too flexible.

  • 12 inch spatula

I wish it was more like 14 inches long. It does have a good design and the handle is curved ever so little to make it easy to use. I like the finish on it too.

  • Finally, a good spatula!

I'm very pleased with this spatula. It is flexible but sturdy and has not melted around the edges, even when used for pancakes on my cast iron pan.

    I recommend this product.

  • All purpose spatula

This is simply an excellent all purpose spatula. It is strong, smooth, and accurate in its function. You may still need a metal instrument for certain very heavy duty applications: I would not use this tool for hard scraping - to clean residues on metal pans. This is just to protect its edge from abuse, as it is not designed for that. However, virtually everything else is covered, as well as high heat tolerance. It is ergonomically correct for a right handed person. We really like this tool. Treat it right. It will treat you right.

    I recommend this product.

I got this for the cast iron pan I got him a couple of years ago, everything I have gotten himn has either melted or just got ruined. this works great & it didn't melt in the pan when I made french toast :) I am sure it will come in handy for other things to. I am hoping I can also use is on the electric grill he just got.

  • Slotted Spatula is nicely built

While this Slotted Spatula is well built, the handle has vitrually no angle, so, trying to get it under an egg or any other food is problematic since the handle will want to contact the edges of the pan. I would have given the product a rating of 5 had there been a reasonable angle of the handle.

  • My sister gave me one of these and I loved it enough to buy two more.
I had two in my motor home and they disapeared so I am back to buy more. My problem is trying to get my children to leave them at my house instead of them taking them home.

  • Works well

I do like this spatula but I was surprised at how it was made. I thought it would be a more heavier plastic and I am afraid it could snap. I won't be happy at all if this would happen due to the price of the spatula. I also purchased two as gifts, wo will be interested what the recipients have to say about it when they receive them at the Christmas holidays. Shop early, shop often is my motto!!

    I recommend this product.

  • Spatula worth the price

I read a recommendation about spatula's, this was #1 rated. I had to try it, and found it to be the best spatula I have owned. It is durable, works wonderfully with my non-stick cookware, easy to handle, attractive and doesn't give out under a heavy load. I plan to buy some as gifts for my cooking friends.

    I recommend this product.

  • The Perfect Tool

I bought one a year ago following "Cook's Illustrated" recommendation and found the spatular always in the dishwasher because it is our favorite tool.

When they became available again on the market I bought eight more to share with family as a small gift. I kept one to increase our supply by 100%.

    I recommend this product.
