Modeled after traditional metal fish spatulas, the Matfer 12-in. Grey Slotted Pelton Spatula is a supple, malleable turner that protects your creations and cookware. Sturdy and durable, the French-made turner blade is also thin and flexible enough to slide under and flip filets, omelettes, crepes, cookies and other fragile or delicate foods. The Matfer spatula is also rigid enough to handle the weight of the fish, pancakes or other foods you need to flip.

An at-home version of the commercial style used by professional chefs, the grey 12-in. slotted pelton spatula has three full-length, 4.5-inch slots, which are great for draining fat and liquids away from foods. The shape and heat-resistant polyamid plastic material, called Exoglass ®, make this spatula great for most cooking purposes, as well as dishwasher safe. The nonstick material gives you confidence that items you're turning won't stick and pans won't get damaged. The long body of the slotted spatula and angled front edge let you easily get underneath foods and balance them without slipping. The handle has a grooved grip and ends in a loop for hanging.

Features:
  • Grey 12-in. slotted pelton spatula is 3.5 inches wide
  • Flexible blade made of polyamid Exoglass ® plastic
  • Pelton spatula is heat resistant to 430 degrees F
  • Nonporous, nonstick surface won't scratch cookware
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Cleaning & Care: Dishwasher Safe
  • Dimensions: Length: 12-in.; Top width: 3.5-in.
  • Material: Polyamid Plastic
  • Origin: France
  • Special Features: Resistant to temperatures up to 430 degrees F.
  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • This spatula is great. It's very thin, but strong. I initially got it to use on my nonstick skillets, but the high temp rating allows me to use it in my cast iron and stainless as well. It’s wide enough for cookies and eggs and pancakes, however the tapered end even allows me to cut butter and add it while cooking.

    I recommend this product.

  • The Perfect Tool

I bought one a year ago following "Cook's Illustrated" recommendation and found the spatular always in the dishwasher because it is our favorite tool.

When they became available again on the market I bought eight more to share with family as a small gift. I kept one to increase our supply by 100%.

    I recommend this product.

  • Very good for anything, not just fish--ok in non-stick skillet, and very thin edge makes it easy to get under things. I also bought some for gifts for my family members.

  • I love it

This spatula does it all. It's easy to hold, slides underneath eggs, potatoes, anything I'm frying I can safely and very effectively use this tool. It's strong and sharp but safe for the pan. For things you want to form a crust, this tool slides under, rather than being too soft or dull to handle the job. Also, one can angle it for greater surface use. I wish I had bought 2 of them rather than the other spatula I did get, 13" nonstick slotted turner by WMF USA (it was made in China)

    I recommend this product.

  • Seems sturdy and well made

Got it because I needed a slotted spatula and that is what it is. I had hoped to use it for flipping delicate fish but it is not quite wid or long enough not quite thin enough to be "perfect" for that but is adequate for fish and fine for general use

    I recommend this product.

  • The best kitchen tool I have for turning fish

I truely love the Pelton Spatula . It is all that you said that is was and then some. The best part is that it is easy to wash by hand , or as I do a lot of the time just throw it in the dish washer . I just wished that you would make on for the left hand . There are a lot of us cooks that are left handed . I watch the Food Network and see several of them are left handed . So do me and several other cooks a favor and make one for us . THANK YOU .

    I recommend this product.

  • Initially, both the angle of the handle and the leading edge of the spatula take some getting used to. They are different than most "off-the-shelf" spatulas you get. After a little use, you do get used to them.
