ASSISTANT INVENTORY PLANNER

DUTIES:
- Responsible for inventory flow into two distribution centers
- Use planning system (Just Enough) to create orders at the vendor/sku level
- Review, approve and send purchase orders to vendors
- Follow-up and expedite orders w/assistance of Inbound Coordinator
- Manage vendor purchase order changes and cancellations
- Prepare and provide forecasts and projections to buying department and vendors
- Work cross functionally with Buying and Finance Departments to achieve in-stock objectives and recommend changes to assortment as needed
- Share joint oversight of Open-To-Buy
- Review customer pre-ordered items and follows-up on delivery. In turn, communicates any delay or changes to Customer Service
- Review and update email Back-In-Stock, and work with Customer Service to update customers on out-of-stock and discontinued items
- Demonstrate and understand overall replenishment objectives – weeks-of-supply, turnover, margins, costs, support sales trends and growth
- Assist in the coordination and review of merchandise assortments
- Run queries and reports in Excel, Access and Just Enough
- Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 2 – 3 years of related work experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Understanding of retail math and planning, and merchandising concepts
- Strong problem solving, mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong technical skills in learning and using multiple systems
