
FOOD & COOKING COMMUNITY MANAGER / PRODUCER
Are you ready to help shape and be the leader of an all-new food & cooking Web community, inspiring membership and becoming deeply involved with production and product development?
DUTIES:
- Inspire, manage and grow Cooking.com's community
- Manage, organize and champion member-contributed content (including recipes, profiles, boards, video and more); interact directly with community participants and customer service, acting as a writer/editor, leading activities, developing help and FAQ services; detecting and solving member and interface problems
- Keep abreast of community and social network competition and innovations to keep Cooking.com at forefront of the area; help differentiate Cooking.com's social network from competition
- Work with Content team to integrate community functionality in other content and shopping areas of site; create and maintain community production calendars, newsletter/promotion schedules, etc.
- Create community events and work with ad sales, marketing and other departments to maximize event promotion and revenue potential
- Develop and perfect community-commerce programs and connections that inspire members and drive product sale
- Evaluate community software providers; conceive, build and maintain relationships with content providers and partner sites
- Write documentation, including treatments, wireframes and functional specifications, for new community features; project management & QA of new community features
- Analyze community statistics/performance and implement functional and reporting improvements
- Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three years in related field OR extensive use/knowledge of online social networking
- Demonstrated skill as writer, editor and problem-solver
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Online production / project management skills a plus
- Video skill / experience a plus
- Interest in food / cooking a plus
- Computer knowledge: Online Bulletin Boards, Development for or extensive, obsessive use of Online Social Networks, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, moderate HTML
