
Director, Online Advertising Sales
Do you have experience directing an online advertising sales department and have settled into your current position? Are you now ready for the challenge of starting anew to create and build a new business, build your dream team and drive online advertising strategies and revenue growth ten fold?
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Online Advertising Sales will be responsible for all advertising responsibilities for the Company. The primary challenge for this executive is to build-up the advertising revenues for the Company to achieve our growth targets. Through a significant investment in our website features and content, we are looking for a creative and ambitious individual to capitalize on this investment and grow our advertising revenues 10 fold over the next 3 years.
DUTIES:
- Develop sales strategies to support and reach company goals
- Responsible achieving quarterly and annual advertising revenue goals
- Lead, initiate and manage all facets of sales process
- Source, develop, negotiate, grow and maintain lucrative relationships
- Identify new revenue opportunities
- Work with existing and prospective clients to determine their business needs and develop the optimal advertising solutions to reach their goals
- Lead and oversee the creation of proposals and sales presentations that address campaign objectives
- Continually evaluate and adjust sales strategies, plan & tactics to optimize clients’ campaigns
- Stay abreast of new ad technologies and services to keep the company ahead of the competition
- Work closely with product management and editorial to ensure advertising opportunities are closely aligned with site enhancements and the editorial calendar
- Work closely with finance to create and manage forecasts and projections, and communicate progress to the CEO vs. budget
- Hire, supervise and mentor Sales Rep and Associate
- Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years online advertising sales experience
- 2+ years supervising online sales representatives
- Consumer Package Goods sales experience
- Experience selling to ad agencies as well as direct to client media buyers
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven track record driving online advertising revenue growth
- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Ad Servicing tools
- Extremely analytical
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer
