UI / Web Designer
Are you tired of doing the same old same old and not having your ideas listened to or implemented? Are you ready to take your two years of user interface experience and have input into the sites? If so then this is the time for you to talk to us at cooking.com as we move forward with the “Powered by cooking.com” network of websites.
The UI / Web Designer will enhance the users' experiences on cooking.com and affiliates' sites when creating, designing &/or updating new and existing pages and sites. The UI Designer will also work on banner ads and buttons for promoting cooking.com on other sites, along with enewsletters and some graphic design.
DUTIES:
- Create web pages based on established guidelines
- Update and redesign existing pages within established guidelines
- Provide input on existing web pages
- Optimize user experience on website
- Create microsites
- Create new sites
- Design banner ads and buttons for links from other sites
- Work in conjunction with Jr. Designer on enewsletters
- Graphic design for print (less than 10%)
- Special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years corporate experience in web design, 2 years of which have been in UI
- ecommerce industry experience a plus
