- Provincial sales tax (PST) is only charged on orders when a package is shipped to an Ontario address. This is due to an agreement between the Federal and Provincial Governments regarding the collection of PST on goods that enter Canada through an Ontario border. Currently, Borderfree imports at the Ontario border.
- Orders are subject to Harmonized sales tax (HST) if the delivery is to a Province that has instituted a combined Provincial and Federal sales tax (GST).
- GST is applied to all aspects of an order whereas PST is not applied to shipping & handling.
