Senior Database Administrator
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Technology team! The DBA will be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all database instances within development, test (staging) and production environments. The individual will also be responsible for capturing business requirements and rules, designing the associated logical models, implementing the physical model and creating all required documentation (via metamodels) for all data models, including relationships, constraints and metadata. All forward engineered schemas will be produced and maintained via metamodels. The DBA will be responsible for database performance, scalability, replication and database reporting infrastructure.

Primary Duties:
- Metamodel development & maintenance
- Data modeling, design & implementation
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Development and maintenance of reporting infrastructure
- Database installation and configuration
- Administer database patches and upgrades
- Database backup and recovery
- Database connectivity and security
- Disk space management
- Automate manual tasks
- Conduct database training
- Provide on-call support & troubleshoot technical issues
- Develop, test, and monitor batch jobs to:
- Insure referential integrity
- Perform primary key enforcement
- Load significant data volumes in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Computer Science or Information Systems BS preferred or 12+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in database management, data warehousing, and data transformation.
- 10+ years of data model experience with ER/Object/Dimensional modeling and have extensive experience in developing logical and physical data models in complex, multi-application environment.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL query optimization techniques, database performance tuning and replication.
- Proficient in OLAP Analytical models having built multi-dimensional cubes.
