I bought this squirrel nut grinder as a Christmas gift for a dear friend who loves to bake. She got such a laugh about it when she opened the gift, but wasn't able to actually use the grinder until just recently (thanks to a nasty cold). Just recently, she tried out the grinder and said that she actually started giggling each time she cranked the tail to grind the nuts. The more she turned the handle, the more she giggled. Her cats thought she was crazy and moved away from her, which made her giggle more. Yes, the nut grinder actually works - and works very well, she said! It was bought as an adorable novelty, but is extremely functional.
