I was looking for a book with more basic instructions and providing more definitions for different cooking terms. The recipes are good but without knowing what some things mean (for example "mince") it's not necessarily helpful. Not a bad book but not what I expected. If someone is looking for a cookbook with mostly recipes then, yes, I'd recommend it but if you're looking for basic instructions even before getting to recipes this book doesn't seem to fit that.

It's very basic. Great for beginners! It gives a lot of details that make it very easy to understand the procedures. I also like that it gives practical advice not only for the recipes but for cooking in general. Great book!
