I'm a little embarassed to admit bought this to fill out my order and get the cheap shipping. The book chronicles a single season in which the author sets out tomatos from seed. However, it is rounded out with descriptions of a neighborhood community, and events involving his own family. I have found it surprisingly absorbing.
