This cookbook holder is fabulous. Not only is it well made, it accommodates single sheets of paper as well as very large cookbooks while protecting the paper from food splatters.
It is very easy to use and stores easily in my cabinet.
If a/the purpose of a cookbook holder is to protect any cookbook of any reasonable size, then this is the only one on the Net that fits the bill. I looked.
Whoever designed it thought of everything and tried it out. My wife and I were both pleased with how easy it is to use, how well-designed. Especially the flip-forward hinged front piece, which makes page turning easy. Easy to set up, easy to stow on the book shelf.
One review carped about $30 being a lot of money for two pieces of plastic and a piece of wood. Worth it. Highly functional, simple and attractive.
After years of dripping on my cookbooks and leaving stains, I got fed up. I researched several different types of cookbook holders and decided to give this one a try. It holds thin magazines, thick cookbooks, even my 3-ring binder books from Weight Watchers. It supports items at a great angle making it so much easier to read the recipes. The acrylic guard keeps the pages clean and and in place - no more having to try to hold down the page of interest to keep it from flipping. And when I'm done, I simply fold it up and store it in one of my drawers. I can't believe I waited to so long to get this!17 of 18 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? I am an artist and I purchased the Jumbo Cookbook holder to enable me to have my various sized reference books propped at the proper angle so I could not only utilize them but protect them at the same time. It has provided the perfect solution for a pesky problem. The easy flip down front cover makes it a snap to turn pages. It works for me. I give it five stars.16 of 16 users found this helpful. I think this is the best cookbook holder on the market! I tried 2 others. The plastic cover is the largest I have found. It is large enough to completely cover most cookbooks and protect them from splatters. Also, the plastic cover flips down to allow you to turn pages without having to lift your cookbook, and the holder folds for compact storage.15 of 15 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Handy Kitchen Tool
It really DOES hold a thick book or a single sheet of paper, due to the grooved base allowing the smaller, rear acrylic sheet to become adjustable, as a backrest, either close-up for a single sheet or far back for a book. The larger, clear, acrylic, front piece keeps the page that's being read also the page being kept clean. Because the holder can fold and slip into the space of a cookbook is also of good design. We love it and would definitely recommend this purchase.8 of 14 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »

Cookbook Holder That Really Works
Cookbook holders that I've tried in the past did not work for me. I usually gave up using them because they would not support the receipe book or held it at an awkward position making it diffcult to read the recipe. The Jumbo Cookbook Holder really works! It can hold a large book or a tiny file card, and still I can easily read the receipe, and it remains free of splatter. The holder looks good sitting on my counter too--very professional. It was a bit expensive, but well worth the price because it works well, and looks nice,7 of 7 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »
The Best Cookbook Holder -- EVER!
I cannot recommend this cookbook holder more. It holds all size books, from magazines to my 1500-page thick Gastronomique. It is very sturdy and hasn't tipped over once for me. Cleans easy. And after all the cooking is done, it folds up nicely to about 1 inch width to save space. Excellent!7 of 7 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »
This is a wonderful product. I love this cookbook holder. It stores neatly in my kitchen and can hold a single paper or a big binder style cookbook easily. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses cookbooks. I've been cooking much more now that I have this product.6 of 6 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Best cookbook holder ever
This product solves every problem I've ever had with a cookbook holder. The page protector swings down so I don't have to wrestle books in and out, bending pages -- great for arthritic hand joints! The cover is wide enough to protect nearly all books at full width, and the stand is deep enough to accommodate multiple books, very thick books, etc. The slotted base (attractive wood) allows choices of depth, so I can get the book or magazine at the best viewing angle. And it folds flat, requiring a minimum of storage space. Somebody who cooks a lot clearly had a skilled hand in the design, and I thank her/him -- everything about this holder works!6 of 7 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? I gave the cookbook holder to someone as a gift, and she is very pleased with it. She likes the appearance of the holder & its capacity to hold many different sizes of books. That the front flips down so that you can turn a page more easily is a huge plus. It is a winner.6 of 10 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »
I'm not sure how durable it will be, but it works great. I don't have the counter space to leave it out all the time and I don't want it to get scratched, so I wrap it up in its bag between uses and fold it flat next to my cookbooks. I like that it is adjustable. I figured that if it is voted best by America's Test Kitchen, it must be pretty good! My only complaints are that I think it's a bit overpriced and I'm concerned that the plexiglass will scratch over time with use.5 of 7 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? I like this thing
One of my bad habits (or you could call it multi-tasking - a good thing) is reading while I eat. This has saved many books from splotches of grease, tomato sauce etc. I hesitated for some time to buy it because I thought it a bit too pricey. Now that have it I am delighted I threw financial caution to the winds.5 of 7 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »
Wife loves it
I searched the internet fairly extensively for a cookbook holder and looked at a few stores here locally after my wife asked for one for her birthday. She is a very avid cook with several hundred cookbooks and notebooks filled with printed recipes.
It works as advertised and described by all who reviewed it.
The best feature is that it will hold pretty much any size book and most importantly (with our house) a sheet of paper.
It's extremely simple to use, looks great, stores flat and out of the way and for the price is an excellent value.
9.9 out of 10 (the color doesn't match our cabinets)
I love this, not only to hold my cookbooks but I like to use it to hold a current novel I'm reading when I am kneading bread dough for ten minutes or stirring something on the stove5 of 5 users found this helpful. Was it helpful to you? Yes | No Report Violation »

Exactly what I needed!
I've been looking for something that I can prop up my cookbook on or hang up my computer-printed recipe from. I like to keep the recipe out of the way, yet close enough to the workspace that I don't have to make extra steps. In years gone by I would attach the recipe to the refrigerator with a magnet - but I have a stainless steel refrigerator!
This Cookbook holder is absolutely perfect! It's adjustable so that you can put a single page or a huge cookbook in it, and it's really no-hassle adjustment! It's also large enough to accomodate my
