I was looking for this type of squeezer and wanted one of US manufacture in order to avoid the possibility of heavy metals (lead, cadmium) being used to achieve bright primary colors in a finish that contacted food. Your listing says

Eventhough this enitre product is made from metal, it broke the first evening I used it. I could not believe it. We were having a Christmas party and I was making margaritas. Three limes into it, snap!

The reason I would not recommend this product to anyone is that I would recommend purchasing the lemon squeezer. The product is excellent, however, some limes are a little too large and difficult to "stuff" into the squeezer. I think that the lemon one would work better for the larger sized limes.

The lime sqeezer would have been great except that the pin holding the two parts together broke the first we used it. My husband found a screw from his toolbox that fit and was stronger.
If the manufacturer's pin would have held up, I would rate this a "9" with a YES under good value.

I make mojitos often and use limes in the drink. This squeezer was the BEST invention and I now can make this drink faster (and get more lime juice out than squeezing by hand)Best of all, the drinks turn out wonderful with the flavor of real lime juice and I can share with my friends. A great tool for those times you need fresh squeezed lime juice, which in a bar setting, is every time. By the way here is a tip on how to get the most out of you limes: Place the lime half up side down in the squeezer. This way, the cut side is down and the skin is up. This way, the squeezer will turn the lime inside out for maximum juice yield. Enjoy!

This lime squeezer works well, but it is a bit smaller than I expected.
It works VERY WELL on key limes, but when I had regular limes that were on the larger size, they wouldn't fit.
I'll definitely get the lemon squeezer also, for lemons AND the larger limes.

I bought this because I planted a Key Lime tree a few years back. This year it began to produce, and my other citrus juicers were geared for larger diameter fruit.
There was a chip in the paint on the handle, and the pin that holds the thing together looks like a low end material, but the product does work as advertised. It really does extract lots of juice from a pin-pong ball sized lime!!
The paint part is cosmetic, and the pin can be fixed if it fails via a visit to a high end hardware store.
Bottom line: If you need one of these, buy it.

This is a great little lime squeezer, especially when you've only got a couple of limes to do. It's much more convenient than dragging out the big juicer. It is metal, not plastic, so I assume this little gem will last forever - or at least as long as I need it to!

I don't use it as often as the lemon squeezer, but it is very handy when I need juice quickly.

Good choice for standard limes but does not compact key limes enough to extract all the potential juice. I had to place 3 key lime rinds into the squeezer to maximize output. It thus resulted in an excess of pith flavor. I think the product could be improved by decreasing the interior space between the handles or providing an insert for key limes.

I like that the product is Powdercoated as apposed to raw metal like alot of the ones I have found in other places. It is heavy and easy to use. I am well pleased.

I really like the lime squeezer because is strong enough to do he job and I don't have to worry about heavy metal contamination as it is guaranteed not to leak any toxicity.
