We love this butter 'dish'!!!!! Finally I can get my son to eat real butter instead of margarine from a plastic dish; the butter is always soft and fresh. The marble is not only beautiful, but the chances of it breaking appear to be very slim. I highly recommend this product to everyone!

If you use unsalted butter, you must add salt to the water in the Butterkeeper to prevent mold. The salt will leach through the marble and leave a dry residue, so I sit the keeper on a coaster. My husband eats more butter from the dish than I do, but we both like having it at a spreadable consistency whenever we want it.

I ordered one butterkeeper, it arrived badly broken so I called & it was replaced within a fiew days with no problem, thanks again. I was so happy with my butterkeeper & sercice that I ordered 2 more each of my suns. Chuck
