We've had this coffee maker for almost a month now, and seems to make pretty good coffee. I'm not really a snob though, because my previous coffee maker was a Mr. Coffee, and I thought it made good coffee too.
We really like the size of the pot - as most coffee makers are 10 cup - which isn't enough if you have guests. It does look great on the counter too, without taking up a lot of space (which is why we didn't go for the capresso).

Things that we find annoying....

**Not being able to see the water level without looking over the top inside
**The lid fits on the top sort of weird, so its taking some getting used to, to get it on properly and quickly

We had gift certificates for cooking.com which is why we purchased it off coooking,com ---but I will say they have the same one at BJ's wholesale for $50 -- so you may want to check that out.

Perfect every time!!!

I purchased this coffee pot mainly because of the 12 cup capacity and the black exterior. I have not been disappointed. It brews a perfect cup of coffee. The machine is a little noisy when brewing, but in the general noise of our kitchen it is hardly bothersome. It would be nice if the water level were easier to see, as sometimes I will brew into what is already in the pot and it is a little hard to see inside the measurement area if you are short. However, if you start new pots all the time and just use the carafe to fill the water compartment, you will have no problem at all. The black exterior is just perfect and stays nice and clean which was one of my wishes when I purchased it. It looks fantastic on my black granite countertops. I would definitely purchase this item again without any reservation!!!

Finally, a decent cup of coffee

It's hard to make a good, hot cup of coffee and although I've yet to find a way to consistently make one, this machine does often provide a good hot tasting pot. Heat is a key element which this does provide.

simple product design in more valuable to me as a consumer than so many other features - the opening for the reservoir was much too tiny - first thing in the morning - or under dark counters - a large opening to pour water into is more important than all the other details!

Cuisinart coffee maker

Extremely nice! the glass pot, lid and coffee basket can all go in the dishwasher, so that makes it very easy to clean up. Good loud beep when the coffee is done, too. Heat plate has temperature settings which is very nice! Not too large, so it doesn't take up much counter space. Glad I chose this coffee maker.

I have had many coffee makers over the years. This is the best I have ever had. My hubby and I are so pleased with this coffee maker. Your coffee is hot and steaming and great tasting. This is the only coffee maker for me now! You will be very, very pleased with the Brew Central Coffee Maker by Cuisinart. Don't waste any more money on those others.....you will love this one!! Thumbs Ups!!

Awkward features

There are several awkward features of this coffee pot.
The water level indicators are located inside the narrow water well. For measures less than 8 cups you must look from directly above the well.
The pot lid is challenging to click in properly.
The toggle switch should be replaced by a flush switch.
The water well is so narrow that I am wondering how I will remove the inevitable scale and lime effectively.

Attractive Counter Coffeemaker

We are enjoying the coffeemaker. Coffee is hot. We also like the looks of the machine and the chrome case and black coffee pot.

Excellent design, But

First of all, this is a good drip coffee maker ---- The only problem I have with this drip coffee is every part that comes in contact with the water and coffee during the brewing process is made of plastic. Hot plastic gives off an odor and effects taste. That is the same reason I buy soft drinks in glass bottle - for the taste. I think this is the main reson a French Press makes such good coffee --- All that being said, this is still the best drip coffee maker I have owned in this price range.

It has lots of features that are easy to use. I especially like the idea of being able to set how warm I want the warmer at. The clock is it's only downfall, it either needs to be back lit or larger so you can see it better.

This product performs quite well and has many usable features. The only negative is that the no drip spout isn't no drip.

We have been pleased with this purchase. Our only complaint would be that the instructions are a little vague on how some features work, such as the timed shut off. I imagine we could check the manufacturer website if it really a problem for us.

One Problem with the Cusinart Coffeemaker

I've been using the Cusinart 12 cup programmable Coffeemaker for years. When my 6 yr old one had an issue --I didn't hesitate to buy a new one.

The glass carafe on this Cusinart 12 cup programmable leaks like mad, no matter how tight you snap the lid on or hold it in the middle. I'm so sorry I threw
my old carafe away by mistake, as it didn't do this. I think this is a matter of 'quality control' and it's so annoying. I'd like to write the manufacturer and let them know. I hope you do....

Cuisinart Coffee Maker

Already own this product, a gift to my husband. With its gold permanent filter and ease of use, it is the perfect coffee maker for anyone. This one I purchased as a gift for my single daughter to keep her from running to Starbucks for their overpriced brew.

Good grill/griddle

I wish that the grill was a bit easier to clean or a little bit more nonstick.

Need a Coffee grinder

This makes great coffe.. You will need a sparate grinder if you use coffee beans. Coffee beans store much better than ground coffee.

While we have only had the coffee maker ~ 2 weeks, we
have been completely satisfied with the product. It is
simple to use and makes great coffee. Most reviews
indicated that the water fill level was the only drawback. Truthfully, since we simply fill the craft to the desired number of cups and then fill the maker from the craft, this has not been a problem for us. A bonus is the maker is compact and astetically pleasing on our counter top.

It was recommended to us by several friends and I would definitley recommend it to others.

Good product, but a little too expensive compared to similar products. Complaints: the clock display is difficult to read and the controls should be made a bit larger to make them easier to use.

This coffee maker is really worth it!

My wife and I did a lot of looking and compairing of different brands, functions, etc. on the internet, before we decided to buy this coffee maker. We have used it continuously for about 3 months now and we continue to be very happy with our purchase. The coffee just plain tastes good! Isn't that what it's all about anyway? We are convinced that the built-in water filter has a lot to do with it (we just need to remember to buy some replacement cartridges for it). This is a big 5-star small-appliance which I can recommend without hesitation.
