Love this blender

I bought this blender to replace my sister's Vitamix (that I can't afford on my fixed income). I am more than pleased with the power and efficiency of this blender. I don't miss the Vitamix!

Great Blender!

I make a smoothie every morning out with fruit, ice, and milk. This blender really works. I love how you can just put it in the dishwasher. This one's a great value and a real keeper!

The blender is powerful and does a good job mixing, making smoothies, etc. We have not tried it on ice. The lid does not click into place securely, and care needs to be taken to make sure it seals snugly all around.

I was looking for a blender to replace a Hamilton Beach I bought at a department store. The Kitchenaid Bar Blender is far superior. Only had to use it one time to realize there is a big difference between a high quality blender and the cheaper ones.

Just got it but so far so great!

I've only had a chance to use this blender a couple times and longevity will be the true test but so far this baby rocks!

Daughter, to whom I gave this blender as a gift, LOVES this blender. It is sturdy, able to make smoothies with ice or frozen fruit easily. An ice cube broke/blew out the side of the last blender, so this is important. The only disappointment is that the gray lid or cover got stained by tomatoes/spaghetti sauce in the dishwasher: maybe there should be a warning NOT to wash it in dishwasher or not to wash with any tomato product. It also seems to me that the cover is more difficult to get onto the blender. Maybe that is also for having washed it in the dishwasher -- TOP SHELF only, of course.

kitchenaid Metallic Chrome Bar Blender

Gave this as a gift but before I bought I researched to find the best blender. Chose this one for a first home owner as a house warming gift. Wanted to get the best for the price and this was it. The couple said it was exactly what they wanted. Good choice!

Crush Ice poor

Let me start with the good stuff: I love the 2 piece design, it's a breeze to clean and use. It is solid and sturdy on the counter.Nice looking and buttons are simple to use. The first thing I wanted to do was crush ice and make a smoothie, unfortunately the blender blade turns off almost immediately and makes a humming motor noise and ice just sits there and does nothing. I tried several times with the same result.I would love advice as to what I am doing wrong. I think the owner manual it came with is very vague and not very informative.

Kitchen Aid Bar Blender

Great product. Much improved over the old version, especially with the "single unit" container for ingredients vs. the old, cumbersome and difficult to disassemble and re-assemble older version. The "full retail price" is far too high, but getting it at less than $100 makes it a good value for the money.

Wonderful Blender!

This blender is the third KitchenAid small appliance I have purchased. My family have been the primary users and are very pleased with the performance. It runs quietly, except when you are grinding ice, which is to be expected. I like the size of the pitcher. You can empty the pitcher easily; food does not hang up around the blade. I highly recommend this blender.

powerful blender

Good blender and makes great daiquiris. It's able to grind ice into smooth drinks. Love the plastic and large mixer compartment. very easy to handle and to wash.

good value

I have used this quite few times so far and really like it. It's not too loud and does a good job w/smoothies. It did have a discoloration on the plastic jar but kept it anyway.

Just ordered one for mt sister.

I like the size, it fits on my counter under my upper cabinets. I like the power, it blends and liquifies.
I received my blender quickly. I think this is an excellent product for the price.

Excellent Blender

I have used this everyday to crush ice since I have bought it and I love it! The canister is light weight making pouring easier. Clean up is a breeze. I would definitely recommend.

I received my new blender and am very happy with my purchase. It works so much better than my old blender. I love the red color.

Good alternative to the $400+ brands

Previously, I took the plunge & purchased a $499 blender from a shopping netwk. It worked marvelously & was made in America (in fact in my home state). I was pleased w/everything but the price.
Some friend recommended this kitchenAid blender instead. So glad I returned the other, bought this, and saved $300! I am crushing ice, making margaritas at hm. & enjoying all kind of smoothies from green to fruit!

Very Good Blender

Felt a little guilty buying this when my old off-brand blender still works. But parked it right next to my red Kitchenaid mixer and don't think husband noticed it yet. Love the fact that the blades are not removable. The piece is very heavy, love the touch controls=no more dirty buttons. Much more powerful and easy to clean than other brands I've had in the past. Not sure how it compares to some other current blenders in this price range, but you can't go wrong with this brand, in my opinion.
