I loved the background of the recipies that were included in the book, thought it made the dish even more interesting. I also liked the alternate substitutions if you can't find the exact ingredient the recipe calls for.

Yes | No Report Violation »One of the books had the binding put on incorrectly.....on the front end, there was no orange sheet before the title and the title page was glued incorrectly....kind of hard to give it as a gift. Where is the quality control? I kept the damaged book and gave the other one as a gift.

There are so many others I am eager to try and will try to incorporate at least 1 per week into my meal planning. It's a beautiful book and the recipes are very accessible and easy so it's not intimidating at all, which is great for us busy folks out here. Thanks!

Some use ingredients you have to mail order or prep time for those that do not work. But this one is top notch! The ingredients are standard and the prep time amazing. I have never been more please with a Mexican cookbook like I am this one. It rates even higher with me than my Mexican Cooking for Dummies. I would recommend this to all my cooking friends from beginner to experienced! It is easy, colorful, and friendly!

The recipes are easy to prepare with ingredients that most grocery stores sell. More exotic ingredients have suggested substitutions. I don't use as much peppers as called for as I prefer less heat; it's easy to reduce amounts to background notes. I bought one copy for myself, and one for a Christmas gift. I'm glad I did!

Often the Mexican recipes can be heavy and a long process, this book shows shortcuts and healthy alternatives. The only thing that could have been better is if it had been autographed!
