I loved the background of the recipies that were included in the book, thought it made the dish even more interesting. I also liked the alternate substitutions if you can't find the exact ingredient the recipe calls for.

One of the books had the binding put on incorrectly.....on the front end, there was no orange sheet before the title and the title page was glued incorrectly....kind of hard to give it as a gift. Where is the quality control? I kept the damaged book and gave the other one as a gift.

I have only used 1 recipe so far but it was good and milder than I thought it would be (I like mild rather than hot). There are so many others I am eager to try and will try to incorporate at least 1 per week into my meal planning. It's a beautiful book and the recipes are very accessible and easy so it's not intimidating at all, which is great for us busy folks out here. Thanks!
