Made in China. No instructions.

There were no instructions with the burger press. How complicated could the simple thing be? The USA distributor says that the pictures on the carton show all that is needed. Not so. The pictures show a thickness that is a 7 plus ounce burger. That is too big for healthy eating. Because of the diameter of the press, 4 ounces of burger meat comes out way too thin. Thus, the burgers BBQ cook at the speed-of-light. Product instructions would have revealed that the carton pictures were only for show and not representative of product actual usage. When a USA distributor gets products made in China they should proof read the information printed on the carton for accuracy and/or include instructions written for and readily understood by Americans. It is not dishwasher safe either.

Not good for storing

This made nice burgers however, when I made the burgers ahead of time and stored them in the burger press, the meat bleed all over my refrigerator, it sort of expanded over the lid and leaked everywhere, not sure if I made them to thick or what. In any case it was a mess to clean an hour before my company came.

I like the being able to make the patties ahead of time, and then just pop them on the grill. Also the patties are the same size and cook evenly.

Easy to use and clean

A good value. Would be nice if you could get wax paper discs to separate the patties. I make up to 5 pounds of patties at a time and freeze them in Food Saver pouches. You can make multi layer patties easily (hamburger, cheese, and hamburger layered in a single patty).You need to spray the press with an oil spray (olive) to make removal of the patties easier. There is some concern as to how long the plastic press will last.
