Finally got around to using this product over the weekend. As I am not one that like the Belgium Waffle style this is right up my alley. The waffles were perfect, but I would have to agree with another review that they are a little on the thin side -- but in the over all scheme of things this is a good product!

Terrific compact waffle maker

I have been looking for a compact waffle maker that would not require a lot of space to store. This one is perfect! I used it for the first time yesterday and it did a great job. The directions were easy to follow and the green light told me when they were done. I was hesitant about not using cooking spray on it, but they popped out just fine. I will be making waffles a lot more often now. Very easy to use!

the waffles while cooked are not crusted at all and they are very thin.. I liked the previous version that Calphalon was selling better.. it made a better healthier waffle.

It works well and is easy to clean

This is my first waffle iron and it was easy to use and tell when the waffles were done. It seems that the doneness control is set a bit lower than indicated. There is no on/off switch so it begins heating when it is plugged in. Not a problem just something to be aware of. I don't think the lack of a beep is a problem. We don't stray far from the kitchen when making breakfast and were able to keep an eye on the iron. Waffles came out done when indicated.

thin, medium size waffles

I have had such a big problem finding an old-fashioned waffle maker that makes waffles like the ones served at waffle houses of days gone by. All the waffle makers around make Belgian waffles or sightly thinner very large waffles. This one is perfect. It makes nice, thin and crispy waffles that are just the right size for one person. It cleans in a snap and is easy to use.
