  • Best Pizza Stone Ever

    This will be the last pizza stone I ever buy. Well...maybe not the last because I love it so much I will probably buy another one to give to my daughter!
    This pizza stone does exactly as described by previous reviewers: the pizzas do not stick, and you can cut them right on the stone, there are no marks from a knife or a pizza cutter. The stone washes up so easily and looks beautiful. I can't stop making pizza! Love it.

  • Very happy with these pizza stones

    I got these for my husband - they do a very nice job, and clean up very easily. If you cook two pizzas at once, the crust of the one on the upper rack doesn't get as crispy. Also experimented with putting the bottom one on the floor of the oven - the crust got too done, and there was some scorching on the stone, which took some elbow grease to get off (but even all the scrubbing didn't damage the stone in any way). Under normal conditions, they are a breeze to clean up. Very happy with this purchase, and although a big pricey, it's a quality product - you're getting very good value for your money.

    My roomate used my pizza stone and was facinated by it and when he left asked if I had an extra one, so I ordered this for him. It was boxed beautifully, Had lots of info on useage and was a great gift for him. (I hope he reads the info included). It is very well made and should last for years with proper use.

  • Wonderful piece, have two now!

    We love this stone. I have one in a beautiful royal blue that I have had for years. It still looks fantastic, even though I occasionally burn things on it and always use a metal cutter directly on the stone. It has been used in the oven to 450 and also on the grill. Makes FANTASTIC pizza on the grill!!!! Words cannot describe the crust, it is delicious. The fig color is a bit muted for my taste, wish I had ordered either the black or red but the stones are worth the price for sure.

  • HORRIBLE PIZZA STONE

    This is one of the worst kitchen items I've ever purchased. The dough stuck so badly to the pizza stone that we had to soak it off ... obviously ruining dinner! However, Cooking.com handled it wonderfully - providing a prepaid return label and quickly processing a credit. It's appreciated!

  • I have to be honest. I haven't actually used it yet, but the reason why I'm reviewing this product now is because there is a sticker on it and it was extremely difficult to get all the glue off of the stone. It wouldn't bother me so much if it was stuck to the bottom but it was on the top where I would put my food. I scrubed and scrubed but there is still some sticker residue on it. As far as the price, for a pizza stone it was pricey, but I did appreciate it had handles and can be washed with soap (which helped somewhat with the sticker situation).

    This pizza stone is great! Why did it take so long for someone to think to put handles on a pizza stone? What a great idea. I haven't yet tried it on my grill, but in the oven, it works really well. Looking forward to trying it with foods other than pizza. Very good value for the price.

    I used this on my Weber Gas Grill. I put it on the cold grill and let it heat on high for 10 minutes. I used the Americas Test Kitchen recipe for the dough and left the pizza on for only 10 minutes. The crust came out crisp and flavorful. The pizza came off the stone very easily with a pizza peel. After the stone cooled for about two hours, I removed it from the grill. It cleaned like it had never been used. The glazed surface makes this a wonderful product.

    I think this product is absolutely beautiful! I had purchased a pampered chef stone and it turned so ugly and discolored after only 2 uses, I sent it back! I have not used this product yet, but I intend to and purchased 3 as gifts. It was wonderful to be able to put it in the dishwasher, as you cannot do with pampered chef. I look forward to using this stone in the very near future!

  • A New and better Pizza Platform

    What's not to like about this new ceramic pizza stone from Emile Henry .....it's beautiful, it's easy to move from oven or grill to table, thanks to the raised handles, and a pizza cutting wheel can be rolled over it without damage. It takes a while longer to get it sufficiently hot than the similar Lodge cast iron pizza "stone," but once properly heated, it does a great job of cooking pizza. I found that my large Weber charcoal grill does not get quite hot enough to smoke and finish a pizza in a fair amount of time, but a combination of starting one in a very hot oven, then taking it out and moving it to the Weber grill for a few minutes and then placing it back in the hot oven to finish to a brown and bubbling state was perfect for creating something close to a wood-fired oven pizza. This thing is a pleasure to use and is easy to clean. High marks!
