When I bought [and currently] this is the highest rated of all the ice cream scoops. It was also the highest priced , but in a range from $9 to $20 I thought it worth the investment in a scoop that would not disappoint me.
There is another plus, this one is made in the USA.
This scoop serves well by cutting through hard ice cream and effortlessly releasing it into my serving dish. I am well pleased.
One drawback, it is not dishwasher safe, but that is a minor inconvenience to me.

I'm not sure if it is my imagination but I believe it actually does melt the icecream on touch. So far we like it; I'm on my 5th scoop and I think it is my favorite so far.

Great Product!!!

This has been the BEST ice cream scooper we have ever found. We've had the battery ones (they crack - not to mention replacing batteries all the time), we had the heat in mircowave (that was ok unitl the stuff inside leaked out), so buy far this one is great. It curls the ice cream into great balls for cones. We are going to get another one just for back up, because you know when something does happen to it - you won't be able to get it anymore.

I DID NOT READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION, APPARENTLY...THIS ICE CREAM SCOOP CANNOT BE WASHED IN THE DISHWASHER...IT ONLY HELPS A LITTLE WITH SCOOPING ICE CREAM BUT IS GREAT WHEN RELEASING ICE CREAM INTO BOWL...THIS ITEM IS OVER-PRICED FOR WHAT IT CAN DO...I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS...

I like the fact that there's no moving parts to break.

This is the best ice cream scoop I have ever seen or used. Unlike other scoops, ice cream does not stick to it but just slides right off the scoop. I highly recommend it.

This is a great ice cream scoop. It cut's through the hardest ice cream. We don't have to let it thaw any more, and my granddaughter wanted to know why I didn't buy it earlier..

Try it, you'll like it

The key to using it is 'SLOW' moving through the ice cream to give it a chance to melt as you cut. Also not too deep goes faster. Simple answer to problem and it works very well...and great price. Sturdy too.

Overrated

This scoop might be filled with high-tech liquids meant to help you get through tough frozen ice cream, but it doesn't quite work as advertised. It is as useless as any other scoop for hard-frozen items. It works great for soft ice-creams, but then again, so does a regular scoop or even a spoon. It does look beautiful, at least. Not worth the price.

Ice Cream

This ice cream scoop really does what it says. It cuts right through hard ice cream and makes it easy to scoop. You also get a nice looking scoop of ice cream from it. No need to struggle with the ice cream to scoop it with this scoop.

This ice cream scoop feels good in the hand--it is smooth and a nice diameter. It scoops the ice cream very easily. I am very satisfied except for one thing and that is that the scoop could be larger. It takes several scoopfuls to fill a small dish.

I was sceptical about this scoop, but it really works. I use it all the time now.

Great product, makes nice round scoops easily even with hard ice cream.

We were very disappointed in this product. It did not live up to it's claim. It does not warm up at all. I had purchased 2. One was going to be a gift for my parents, as they have arthritis and I thought this would be great. But I am not giving it to them, I actually threw it out. It is easier to nuke the ice cream a little first and scoop it with a spoon.

My husband kept asking me to get an ice cream scoop like the one my daughter-in-law has. I didn't see the big deal. But then I found this one and he was right. It scoops the hardest ice cream in a jiffy. We are both very pleased with the purchase.
