Feeling roasty? Don't hesitate to add this roaster to your grillware collection. Its nonstick coating is PTFE- and PFOA-free for safe grilling and easy clean up. The jalapeño roaster holds up to 16 medium-sized peppers and can be used in the grill or oven so you can enjoy this spicy accessory year-round.

Stuffed Jalapeño Peppers Recipe
  • 16 medium-sized jalapeño peppers*
  • 3-4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 2-3 green onions, sliced
  • 2-3 sun dried tomatoes (oil-packed), chopped
  • 8 slices bacon, halved (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water-soaked toothpicks (5 minutes of soaking)

Preheat grill to medium. Cut off top of each pepper and carefully core the pepper, removing all seeds. If you do not have a jalapeño corer, a vegetable peeler is a good kitchen tool for hollowing out peppers. Remember the oils in jalapeño peppers are very hot, so take care not to touch your face or eyes. Place the peppers upright in roasting holes.

In bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, onion, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Put mixture in pastry bag and pipe cheese evenly into peppers. A knife or spoon may also be used to stuff the peppers. If desired, wrap upper half of each piece with a 1/2 slice of bacon and skewer with water-soaked toothpicks. The water helps keep the toothpicks from catching fire.

Grill peppers until bacon is done, about 20-30 minutes. Serve hot.

*The size of jalapeño peppers may vary by grocer, region and season. If peppers are too small, skewer them with water-soaked toothpicks to keep peppers from falling through roasting holes.

Take Your Pepper & Stuff It

    by Marcus, FL

Nice little roaster. Works great and cleans up easily. Get yourself a jalapeno corer to make cleaning them easier on yourself. I suggest getting peppers that fit half way down into holes and use a toothpick thru the middle. The peppers shrink when they roast and will slide down and big fat ones won't stay in hole and will tip over. If you roast in the oven, place roaster on a baking sheet, makes moving easier and save cleaning the bottom of your oven. They will drip as they roast and if you stuff with raw meat or anything that produces liquid when cooked you will need to poke a hole in the bottoms with toothpick prior to stuffing so liquids can drain.Check out www.chilegrill.com for a corer and recipes, they have tons of large roasters also. ENJOY!!!

Everything it is suppose to be!

Used the roaster a couple of days ago out on the grill and it was very stable sitting on the grill and the peppers were secure and cooked properly. After the peppers fully cooked and the roaster had a chance too cool off it's non-stick surface cleaned up well. Having looked at other roasters of this type, it's ease of handling and especially it's apperance made purchasing this roaster a pleasure.
    Thanx

    Size your jalapenos!

The Jalapeno Roaster is a great idea. My jalapenos were a little large to fit the holes though so my next purchase were more appropriate sized! Be sure to keep that in mind.

I bought this for our smoker to smoke cream cheese filled jalapenos. It's just perfect. I should have bought 2 or 3 for parties. Will probably buy more on my next order.

    Nonstick Jalapeno Roaster

    by Alan, CA
    May 25, 2011

This product offers a great way to make jalapeno poppers standing upright, and is fun to use. It is also easy, though the holes could be somewhat larger. So far, we have only used it indoors in the oven, but are anxious to try it on our outdoor barbecue.

Great fun for poppers on the grill!

I'm very pleased with our new Jalapeno roaster! For years I've cooked poppers in my oven, but can now keep the splatter of the bacon on the grill, and not in my oven! I found it best to put a piece of foil under the roaster to avoid burning the tips of the jalapenos.

    Jalapeno Roaster

This is really nonstick. I washed it with a sponge and the burnt cheese came right off! Very sturdy too. I love it, but unfortunately the jalapenos I made were so HOT my husband & I couldn't eat them!!!!! Will have to try banana peppers next time.

    Inspect Product before use!

    by Kristina, MD
    June 26, 2011

Overall this is a cool product. My Aunt has one and it was great so I decided to purchase one for my father for fathers day. I should have inspected it as soon as I received it. Instead I didn't and the day before fathers day I went to wrap it and noticed that there was bubbles in the finish. I rubbed the blemishes and it chipped off revealing rust. I didn't have time to get a new present for my father so I gave it to him anyway explaining to him that I would return it and get a new one for him. Typical of my fix-it-himself father, he decided to take it, sand down the rust spots and spray paint it with grill paint since it was only the underside of the roaster and there would not be much surface contact between the bottom side and the jalapenos. Once he fixed it, it worked great! Even though this happened, I would still recommend getting a jalapeno roaster to anyone that likes jalapenos or any other types of small pepper.

the holes for the jalepenos are way too small,
only the tinest ones will work and then it is hard to stuff

The holes are too small for most jalapeños to fit far enough into to keep from falling over. Clean up was easy and the recipe was tasty.

The roaster is OK, the holes where the Jalpenos stand are not as large as I feel they should be. When I used the roaster, as the peppers cooked they fell over and the filling came out onto the roaster surface and the grill grates. You should only use small Jalapeno peppers. The roaster was very easy to clean up after it cooled.
