Forget frozen toaster waffles and expensive restaurant visits. Make fluffy and delicious waffles right at home whenever the mood strikes you with this Cuisinart Nonstick Waffle Iron. The round shape allows you to cook four wedge-shaped waffles, golden brown and ready for the toppings of your choice, at one time. The handy five-setting browning control allows you to choose just how light or toasted you want your finished product, and the nonstick finish makes it easy to remove your completed waffles without worry about breakage or tearing -- plus, cleaning up when you're done cooking isn't a chore. The regulating thermostat helps to ensure even cooking throughout your waffle, so you'll achieve a perfect finish without undercooked or overcooked spots throughout. You'll save time and trouble and enjoy steadier, more reliable cooking thanks to the ready indicator light -- it will let you know when your waffles are done, so you won't have to keep opening the lid to check. We're confident that the slick stainless steel finish will look incredible in your modern kitchen whenever it's in view, and this waffle iron is compact enough to store in a cabinet or leave out on the counter, so you'll be ready to make waffles any time. First of all the waffle iron is too light. You lift the lid and the whole thing raises up off the counter if you are not careful. The handle *(?) is made of plastic, it is easy to get burnt when lifting the lid to remove the waffle. The setting slide lever is a piece of plastic and it has about a quarter inch of play in it, so you really don't ever know what number you have it set on. I was wondering why the price was low and now I know. It seems Cuisinart is following most every other company and going for cheap made products and ignoring quality. Waffles are not that great as they come out mushy and even on the highest setting. I have to leave the waffle in there until you see a little smoke and it is done. That is how we used to tell when the waffle was done, before they came up with these progressive (?) tinker toys! If you want some quality skip this one. If you just want cheap, buy it.
We were looking for a good waffle maker and found this one....ordered it and once it finally arrived (took 12 days) took it out of the box and were making waffles. They come out of the maker with NO STICKING!! Perfect!
Order it if you want a great waffle maker by a good company and at a good price....have fun!
I have used spray on cooking oil for every use, approximately 12, and the waffles consistently stick to the surface and tear. Not good. Previous waffle irons that I have owned do not require cooking oil everytime.
When the iron heats up there is an odor of hot plastic/teflon that is very disagreeable.
It wasn't long after receiving my new waffle maker that I made waffles for breakfast. They were great. Enjoy the fact that you can choose how toasted you want them - goes from 1-5. My husband likes them browner than I so that works out well. It was a good buy for the money!
This Cuisinart Waffle Iron is perfect. It cooks your waffle just the way you like it. I had a family member overload with batter and it looked like a terrible mess. Well, it wasn't a mess to clean up! It was easy. The product sits up and takes very little space. I haven't found anything not to like about this product. Would buy as a gift too!
I would never pay the SMRP for this product of $55+. I feel that for a Cuisinart product it is very cheaply made. It does not make the nice thick Belgin style waffles I was expecting. Cost of the product after I applied coupons ($20.00)and shipping left the item still costing near the original price, meaning shipping was almost as much as the product itself.
