First of all the waffle iron is too light. You lift the lid and the whole thing raises up off the counter if you are not careful. The handle *(?) is made of plastic, it is easy to get burnt when lifting the lid to remove the waffle. The setting slide lever is a piece of plastic and it has about a quarter inch of play in it, so you really don't ever know what number you have it set on. I was wondering why the price was low and now I know. It seems Cuisinart is following most every other company and going for cheap made products and ignoring quality. Waffles are not that great as they come out mushy and even on the highest setting. I have to leave the waffle in there until you see a little smoke and it is done. That is how we used to tell when the waffle was done, before they came up with these progressive (?) tinker toys! If you want some quality skip this one. If you just want cheap, buy it.

The waffles I remember are back
This Cuisinart Waffle Iron is perfect. It cooks your waffle just the way you like it. I had a family member overload with batter and it looked like a terrible mess. Well, it wasn't a mess to clean up! It was easy. The product sits up and takes very little space. I haven't found anything not to like about this product. Would buy as a gift too!
I would never pay the SMRP for this product of $55+. I feel that for a Cuisinart product it is very cheaply made. It does not make the nice thick Belgin style waffles I was expecting. Cost of the product after I applied coupons ($20.00)and shipping left the item still costing near the original price, meaning shipping was almost as much as the product itself.
The waffles stick to the waffle iron. After the waffle is cooked, I open it, and the waffles splits. Half sticks to the top and the other half sticks to the bottom. I've used it once and told my husband I'm going to pitch it in the trash. I wasted my money.
I love this little waffle iron. It is FAST! It does a great job making nice crispy or soft waffles - your choice; but, the floppy little temperature control needs re-engineering. Mine finally broke off (after only 5 uses!), but I was able to fish out the remaining part of the control tab and stick a paper clip through a little hole in it, so now I wont have to worry about that happening again. This waffle iron does a really GREAT JOB. I always use a spray-on cooking oil, so have not had any sticking problems. I'm going to buy another one to give my daughter who has seven kids.
I always had fond memories of when my mom pulled out the waffle iron when we were kids. Apparently my brother does too, because we got on the subject of waffle irons once and we both really wanted one. I had been looking around a bit, but most were too expensive to justify occasional waffles. This one was priced right. When I recieved it I was very pleased with the small size as I do not have a lot of space. I also am really impressed with how easy it is to use. Most of all, it makes great waffles that my family really enjoys. It's also pretty easy to clean up. Waffle irons have really come a long way from my Mother's big clunky model.
We just love this little waffle iron. It heats up very quickly and the turn around time on making waffles is way faster than a family of four can eat them. The non-stick coating is fabulous and the waffles come out with ease. The red and green lights tell you when the waffle is ready. Highly recommend this machine! It's compact size is perfect for storing in our small kitchen.
I have been searching for a waffle iron for quite some time. It seemed like the nice ones were out of our price range. I was excited to find these. We have a nice size family. I can finally sit down and eat with the family. We have six children.
This is a replacement for one received as a wedding gift 48 years ago. The product heats up very quickly and cooks a wafffle in about two minutes, great when you have a few people to feed. Clean up is really easy and being able to store it upright saves cabinet space. My wife and I used the included recipes for our waffles which were very tasty. I recomended this waffle iron to my three children and my two sisters.
For the most part we love the waffle iron, it is much faster and easier to cook these small waffles than to stand over a frying pan slowly frying pancakes .. Cooking waffles stretches one egg , an organic mix and a small amount of oil for both of us. Bananas, nuts, etc., can be incorporated into a purchased organic mix. Occasionally the waffle sticks to the iron when I have not done it too carefully but for the most part it is pretty easy to clean. I use a folded paper towel to apply olive oil to the grill instead of a spray since it's healthier and cheaper to use. I look forward to the warm weather when we can have waffles with vanilla frozen yogurt and strawberry slices on top--yummy.
This waffle iron is an excellent and inexpensive choice. It makes consistently good waffles, I would recommend it to anyone on a budget. The only minor flaw is that while it has a non-stick surface, I've had to spray the iron with cooking spray before each waffle is made to ensure that they will not stick. That aside, it's a great buy!
Works great! Temperature control is very good. Iron is easy to clean as compared to others.
Of course like all waffle irons, cleaning will still it is still hot is tough. Instructions say wait till cool but cleaning will hot is more effective. In any case like all irons, this is HOT! Last point, like all irons that are
This waffle maker is a great value for the price. Personally I don't like the really thick Belgian type waffles, so I especially like this one. Makes perfect waffles every time - even use it weekdays for the kids.
I purchased this waffle iron for my daughter and her family and they love it. She has wanted one for a long time. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars, so this was perfect. My daughter said that it makes perfect waffles, easy to clean and no sticking.
Makes good waffles quickly. Only 2 problems with design/manufacturing. 1. The overflow channel is too narrow and does not deflect overflow from the browning control. 2. The browning control has too much play in it, about 1 1/2 positions of looseness.
