Too flimsy

The ends are much too weak to use. When I use tongs or other items for cooking I need to be sure that the item is strong enough for my purposes. I regret having purchased the item.

I looked at a lot of tongs and reviews, and this was the pair that met most of my criteria. They are a bit wobbly in the hand, but I'm getting that under control. However, the two grips don't meet exactly in the middle if I don't pay attention to how I'm pressing them. That's a bit annoying, because they feel flimsy when that happens. However, since other are my first pair of tongs, I'm sure that will all improve with regular use.

We make Safety our priority in our organization, and needed to have tongs in pantries, for employees to safely remove hot food from the toaster ovens. We purchased, then rejected several other tongs, before we came across this one. Acceptance was unanimous,and we're happy with the product.

These are a high quality tool. The lock on the handle holds it shut for putting it where it is kept.
