I love my girl Alex, and when I heard she had a book coming out I ordered it. This book has some great little stories that Alex shares when she was a young cook. Like in her mothers kitchen to a great little story cooking for Prince in her restaurant early one morning in N.Y. I've prepared several of her dishes and they turned out perfect. The easy to follow instructions are enjoyable and fun to read. Great value for this wonderful recipe book.

I was very disappointed in the overall book. She is a great cook and I love her, but the recipes are not anything I would ordinarily to friends or family. Even if it was a formal dinner party it is not a book I would grab. I was expecting more from her.

However, the book is for my daughter so I imagine I can borrow it anytime. I've been a fan of Alex for years and I love the personal notes in her book. I collect cookbooks and this would be a good addition. Thank you, Sandra Tofson
