I am 48 years old and have been cooking and baking since I was 17. I have alway wanted this mixer but never could justify the price. Well I started a new job and this was my reward. I love it and love everything about it. I can't wait to buy some of the attachments!

It is sturdy (and heavy!) and I love the reliability and ease of use and easy cleanup. Like my trusty Featherweight sewing machine, it reminds me of my home and my mother. It is the main appliance that always stays out on the counter, ready to use, and besides, it's beautiful!

Love the metallic chrome finish. Have made pizza and cookie dough with this machine, and it makes both of these tasks so easy. This "tool" is something everyone needs in their kitchen.

I've always just bought the least expensive to get me by thinking that "when I grow up" I want a KitchenAid....and now that I'm almost 60 I figured it was high time! My other one gave out on the first batch of 20 dozen cupcake orders. {heart attack!!} I went online, ordered this one from the Food Network store and had in lightning fast time. JUST in time for the next batch of cupcakes. You can't go wrong with this one. It is awesome and looks fantastic sitting on my kitchen counter!

After a year, lubricant started to leak out around the band where the product name is located. After contacting KitchenAid we decided to dispose of the mixer because of the shipping cost to send it back and the cost to replace the broken parts wasn't worth the expense. We purchased another brand that I liked well enough but it wasn't a KitchenAid. So, with the KitchenAid Elite I hope that we have no issues with lubricant leaking and getting into the food in the bowl. If this item fails yet again, I will step away from this product and find another that is more dependable and reliable.
