EASY TO CLEAN

I love the feature that the blade portion is not removable, I always have trouble unscrewing the other type and end up getting whatever I bended on my clothing. This is a no-nonsense blender, it is a workhorse and gets the job done. I love smoothies but used to dread cleaning the blender, now it is so easy, and it does a good job on the ice, makes it like snow with no problem, good wide mouth, easy pouring, sturdy base, don't think I could ask for any more features, suits me just fine.

Bar Blender - really good product

We had a smaller version of this, but the motor just wasn't powerful enough to churn out nice smoothies, or do a quick job on pureeing and blending.

This is a far better blender than KitchenAid's other models - and very good value for the money. Definitely recommend it, and would buy again.

best blender I ever bought

as a newly wed back in the day 1976 I only thought Osterizer was the best never changed till I have become disabled with my knees and need to review really what was out there, This one is fantastic, easy clean up lite weight pretty well made. I believe this is the last one I will need.

Fan of Kitchen Aid Products

I have used Kitchen Aid products for at least 15 years--stand mixer, hand mixer, food processor. I had never, however, purchased a blender until now. I hesitated for a while, because my previous blenders all had glass bowls and I was afraid that a plastic one would soon become cloudy. But then I considered that I had had the food processor for 15 years and that the bowl was still clear. Convinced then, I purchased the blender. It has met all of my expectations of a blender.

Lovely blender

This is a gift so I haven't used it. But I bought it for someone who prefers products made in the USA. And after searching widely for blenders made in America, I finally found this one. It is stylish looking and I like the plastic carafe because it's much lighter.

We'd had our old blender for so long, we didn't realize how advanced the current models were. This is a super unit, the first time we put ice and frozen fruit in it to make a fruit smoohie, we were blown away at how easy this KitchenAid pulverized everything. Super strong, yet fantastically light ... very happy that we purchased this unit.

good overall; ice crusher stopped working

The blender performs extremely well. The ice crusher button, though seems to have quit working altogether.

Love it! Relatively quiet for a bar blender and very efficient. Great for smoothies.

Great blender for making drinks

The wider jar makes it feel sturdy and safe to use (in comparison to my previous tapered blenders). I like the easy pouring and dishwasher features especially.

So far my use has been limited to meal replacement drinks. I find it better to first use the stir setting to mix the drink powder and water, then add the ice cubes and use the ice crushing feature. That produces a great shake without powder splashed on the lid and a more difficult cleaning.

Blends and crushes ice great

I use this mainly to crush ice and it crushes ice very very quickly. My old one would jam up and stop. I am very happy with this blender.

Great blender

Turned ice into slush for the greatest frozen coffee and fruit drinks. Easily made hummus and pesto. I'm sure I'll do a lot more with it.

It is a big, heavy workhorse of a blender. very pleased!!!

This blender is wonderful. It does everything and more!

Super Blender

This blender does everything as advertised. It is very powerful and will crush ice with no problems.

The bottom of the container is a little wide making it a little difficult to make small amounts of recipes such as salad dressing. I thought this guy's little brother may have been a better buy for that, except I saw one at Macy's and the containers have about the same diameter bottoms, the difference is in the height.

The little measuring cup in the lid is just for that. Depending on the amount of items being blended, if you take it out to add something such as EVOO, you may want to put a raincoat on. Also, always start (and run) with the top on.

Cleans up nicely in the D/W.

Overall though, I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy this again.

So far I am very happy with this blender and its performance. However, I have only used it a handful of times so I am not sure about its long-term durability.

This is by far the best blender I have ever had. We love smoothies. This blender crushes the ice quickly and makes the best smoothies ever!!! I wish I had bought this blender years ago!

3rd time the charm

This is the third blender I've bought over the last five years (the second one was also a KitchenAid). I've wanted one that could crunch ice for frozen berries and ice for smoothies and margueritas. This one is everything I've been looking for. My second blender was a heavy glass pitcher and I'm really enjoying the plastic container for ease of use and cleanup.
