Best Little Kitchen Helper ever!

by Feline, YT
December 19, 2007

It took me several years to finally purchase my new kitchen aid mixer. My husband had been trying to get me to buy one for a few years now. I sure wished I would have listened to him sooner. I did have a good stand mixer before, but nothing beats my Professional 600 Black Licorice Kitchen Aid mixer, I can even make cinnamon buns now and they are good. Thanx to everyone on Americas Test Kitchen for using the same mixer, it helped assist me in my decision. She will do everything but my dishes (that is why I have a husband!!)

My mixer arriver before the estimated arrival date. It was well packed and in perfect condition. My only regret is I found it for a lower price after placing my order, but I had looked for a long time before ordering, and that's just the luck of the draw.

My new Kitchen aid mixer surpasses my expetations. The power and capacity is much better than my old kitchenaid mixer.
I usualy make yeast breds and cookies. This Christmas I gave it a real workout, it had power to spare and the bowl size was very adiquate.

Best Stand Mixer Made

by John, GA
May 8, 2007

Of course some folks like the tilt-head models as they can be convenient sometimes but if you plan on storing your mixer on the counter under overhead cabinets then tilt-heads sometime can be more cumbersome to use as you must pull them out from under the overhead cabinets to use. This professional style bowl-raise model solves that. There is a very small learning curve going to a bowl-raise type but it's offset by it's positives. This mixer should last someone their entire life and is of the quality that it could be passed down to future generations. Also, there's been many of these made and parts will no doubt be plentiful for many years to come.

If you want the best, get this mixer. There's just no comparison.

6-qt. Professional Mixer, Kitchen Aid

by Catherine, VA
April 8, 2008

Having a great time with my new mixer. Mixes like a dream. Fluffy icing, smooth cake batter. So easy. Love it. A great use of my money. Very heavy and sturdy, quiet, easy to use, lots of speeds, easy to clean. I haven't ventured into the attachments for pasta, sausage making, etc., but for whipping and mixing- I'm happy. No issues with the shipping. Arrived in great shape.

Handles thick batter with ease

by Amy, MA
January 1, 2008

Since my mom is celiac sprue (an allergy to wheat and gluten) People with these allergies have to buy special flours. And when you blend the ingredients together they sometimes become very thick and heavy to mix. Our old Kitchen Aid, was straining too much, and could not handle these special kinds of flours.

This new Professional 600 Series Kitchen Aid was a Christmas gift. She used it to make gluten & wheat free chiabatta bread - and the machine mixed with ease.

An excellent machine - that can handle heavy or thick batter.

Wowzers!!!!

I love this mixer!!! I have used Kitchenaid for years and have had the Heavy duty mixer. It is the five quart, 325 watts of power, and has always worked beautifully! But this new 6 quart, 575 quart is even better! I can make 4 loaves of my french bread recipe easily. I think I could probably mix concrete with it!! HA
Anyway if you do lots of baking, I totally recommend it!

WONDERFUL!!!

World beater!

by Andrew, ON
February 10, 2008

This is a great machine. At first we were a little unsure about the idea of raising the bowl but it really works well (as long as you have the bowl properly clipped in!). We haven't used all the beaters yet but it has made some great cookies and we are very happy indeed with the purchase - and at the price, it was a steal.

What else is there to say??

by Lauren, CA
February 25, 2008

I don't know what else to say about this KitchenAid mixer that almost every other reviewer has already stated. It's fabulous. It cuts my baking preparation time in half, at least, and clean up is a breeze. The Nickel Peal is beautiful with all of my other stainless steel appliances and while it is large, it's absolutely worth it.

expensive...but I do luv it!

by Ullana, ON
April 17, 2008

For the last little while I have been collecting attachments so that when I was finally able to buy the mixer, I'd be ready. Now that I have bought the mixer, I make fresh pasta weekly and juice oranges just about daily: two things I couldn't do before. Shredding carrot after carrot is now almost pleasurable and of course it excels at mixing things, too. Truly inspirational, and although very expensive, a worthwhile investment in culinary enjoyment and possibilities! This KitchenAid Stand Mixer makes the kitchen more fun!

Great buy!

by Elva, CA
September 17, 2009

I recently purchased my Kitchen-Aid because I was taking a cake decorating class and my Hamilton Beach hand mixer was just not cutting it! I've always wanted a Kitchen-Aid, what better opportunity? It's a very powerful motor which I will need Christmas time when I make tamales - the masa is really tough & I think my Kitchen-Aid can handle it.

Love my KA Mixer

by Aida, DC
January 4, 2007

We have already used our new KA mixer to make bread, ground beef and sausages (chorizo, italian and lamb). Grinding the meat was great. We had the best burgers and meatloaf with it. The sausages were a bit more difficult to make, but once we got the art of filling the sausages without air pockets it was great.
However, there are a few things that are not so good. First of all, it already had a piece come off the mixer, the metal clasp where the attachements go came off. Without it the attachments are loose and don't work as well. So we are going to have the mixer replaced. Secondly, the plastic pusher does not work so well. I wish it came with the wooden pusher that is on the picture. And lastly, I do wish the paddle and hook were made out of stainless steel for what this mixer costs. The current ones seem very flimsy.

I love it! The only thing I was surprised about is that it is noisier than I thought it would be, but it works great!

So excited to finally get this mixer. It's beautiful and works quietly and quickly. I make and sell rustic bread and need a powerful mixer to mix that dough and this is just the thing! I'm thrilled to have an attachment coming as a bonus.

I find this mixer to be much noisier than my smaller Kitchenaid mixer. I've read that the Delonghi mixer is loud. It must sound like a freight train.

Good for Bakers with Arthritis

by Victoria, ON
December 1, 2007

I bought this item for my mother, an avid baker, who suffers from severe arthritis in her hands and wrists. The ease of use on this model (the easy to move lever to lower and raise the bowl, and simple 'twist to lock' way of changing the attachments) and the larger capacity has given her the ability to make bread again. Christmas baking will be a breeze instead of weeks in agony.

Unfortunately this also means we'll all get fat for winter. But it looks like it's going to be a cold one here in Canada so we might as well hibernate.
