I love the performance of this mixer. I find it to be very heavy and cumbersome to move though.

KitchenAid Stand Mixer

The 6 quart KitchenAid stand mixer is a machine for serious baking and cooking. The nickel pearl finish is easy to keep clean and matches the other stainless steel products in y kitchen. I just love the strength, speed and ease of use this KitchenAid product offers. I look forward to many years of baking bliss.

After many years I finally found the mixer I'd waited for, at an unbeatable price. I am very happy with the power, look, and durability of this mixer. America's Test Kitchen rated this model as number one. And I'd have to agree.
Thanks for a great price & product!

I love my new mixer

November 12, 2006

This is by far the best mixer I have had. I can mix 4 cake mixes at once. I couldn't do that with the other mixers. This was a great buy.

Happy with upgrade

by William, CA
September 1, 2007

After 20 years with the same small KitchenAid mixer, I upgraded to the six-quart model. It made short time of kneeding bread dough and it came out very satiny. As expected, the new model has worked as well as my old model. My daughter is thrilled to get the old one as a hand-me-down.

I've always wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer. As an avid baker, it's a must! I received it for Christmas and have used it every week since. My birthday is coming up and I've asked for some of the attachments.

Love my new KitchenAid

by Wilda, ID
May 3, 2008

I love my new mixer. It made the best bread ever. My last one was 25 years old and was getting pretty tired.
The only complaint I have is I didn't get the free attachment that was in the ad. Other than that I am very happy.

I bought this Kitchen Aid for making bread. I does the job well. I love the crank. Why? The early model you had tilt back the top of the unit. This made hard to place in areas the did not have much hight. Also, a few time the earlly model would be too ease to push over while one trying to tilti the top of it.
This one is almost like ones you would find in Bakeries. This modle is close to Hobart type of mixer.

I was very much so, looking foward to this particular size model from Kitchen Aid. The power of the motor is right on the money, although I do notice slight overheating on the engine shell when dealing either with heavy batches or long periods of mixing. I guess I will have to wait and see how it turns out. Above all thank you for your deligence...

Powerful mixer at a great price

by Christian, IL
January 3, 2007

We skipped the smaller kitchenaid mixers and went straight to this beast. The holidays provided nice discounts, rebates and free shipping. The final price wasn't too far off from the smaller model. So far we love it. Cookies and cakes are a breeze. So is the usual fare. Haven't tried bread yet, but based on how powerful this mixer is, I'm sure it will do just fine. My only word of advice is that if you don't bake much or do larger than standard batches, this may be too much for you. Small batches tend to get lost in the 6qt mixing bowl and you have to do more scraping with a spatula. Otherwise it's a wonderful machine.

Kitchen Aid Mixer

by Kirsten, GA
January 1, 2008

I am a long term user and fan of the Kitchen Aid Mixer - upgraded from the 500 and am VERY pleased with the larger capacity - it does everything I need it for - making bread dough, whipping eggs, creaming butter and sugar. and came in very handy over the holidays. looking forward to trying the pasta maker and will also add a meat grinder attachment in the near future. I cannot recommend it enough, and encourage my friends who do not already have one to get one as soon as possible. have also given it as gifts to both my daughters.

professional kitchenaid stand mixer

by Cris, IL
May 17, 2008

I recently upgraded to the professional 600 Kitchenaid stand mixer from a prior kitchenaid stand mixer that I had used for about 20 years. My old one worked faithfully, but my professional 600 has more power and makes much quicker work of kneading bread. I absolutely love my upgrade! I look forward to 20 years with my new model.
