I have a smaller one with the lift up head that I've had for years. I got this one so when I do larger batches and larger cakes I can mix all the batter at once instead of several and having to wash the bowl inbetween !! Absolutly Love It !

A high quality product as expected from Kitchen Aid, but much quieter than my 6qt ever was and the same size. My mother is jealous and wants to replace her 5qt model.

I really love this mixer. Everything I make with it I can do in triple now at one time. It takes much less time. I have waited along time to get this. Very good value.

Beautiful. Will take a little adjusting from my 5 Qt bowl...amazing how much bread dough it can hold. Love the absolute solid feel of this mixer and the power. My other Kitchenaid is still running after 11 years, so will keep that for 'smaller' jobs and pull out this baby for running through 5 lb of bread dough.

I bought this mixer for my mother for her birthday, because her small one had been dropped on the floor ( :O I KNOW!!!) Anyway I have always watched her make double-plus batches of things and has always had to clean the bowl and do separate mixes. This mixer was everything she has wanted and more! She make rolls, cookies, desserts, EVERYTHING and do it bulk! Very satisfied!

It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to detach then attach the mixing bowl. And I've only done one small bread batch, but I know I will like to for the larger bread batches, which is why I ordered it.
