Great pie, but pricey...

I purchased this pie for my wife, who is a pecan pie lover, (I am not), for Easter. She said that it was the BEST pecan pie she ever ate. I am not generally fond of Pecan pie, and even I thought it was excellent. It is a little pricey though, almost $50 is a little much for one pie. The cost prevents me from ordering on a more regular basis, instead making it a "special occaision" purchase.

Not worth the price

The pie itself was excellent. It tasted just like the one at her store, which my husband LOVED ! However too pricey. When ordering online I understood it was 2 pies, for which I thought the price of $34 was reasonable, eventhought the shipping charge of over $14 was high. When the product arrived I realized it was only 1 pie. One pie for $33+ plus $14+ for shipping .. absolutely NOT worth it. I'm very dissapointed on the value of the product. I won't be able to shop again at these prices.

"Pecan Pie is my Husbands favorite Pie"

I ordered Paula's Pecan Pie for my Husband; it's his favorite pie. He's the only one that like pecan pie in our family so we hardly ever have it. I wanted him to have the best Pecan Pie and I knew that should be Paula's Pecan Pie. When we received it we couldn't wait to open it and taste it! It was so yummy and the crust was flaky and tasty and we loved it because it wasn't so sweet like Pecan Pies usually are. (I even liked it)We got home late from work that evening and only ate a sliver of the pie each. When we got home from work the next day and my Husband was looking for his Pie, my Son-in-Lay gave him the bad news that the ants go to it and there were ants galore all over the place and eating his Pecan Pie! We were both disappointed that we only got to eat that one sliver of Paul's Pecan Pie! When our budget permits we will order another Pecan Pie from Paula for my Husband. Too Expensive

I love the Paula Deen pecan pie. I do think it has gone up in price since my last order. It is kind of hard to justify a $30.00 pie.

Pecan Pie

This pie made a beautiful presentation. It is pretty to serve; however, it was a little too sweet for my taste. I have made pecan pies each year, but decided I wanted to try a professional chef's pie. I will go back to making them on my own.

Great Pecan Pie

The crust was very flaky and quite tasty as well. The filling was high quality including the pecans. I would order this again. We got this for Thanksgiving and it arrived on time as stated. The packaging was very protective as well.

Great Gift

I gave this as a gift and was told that it was the best pecan pie they ever had! A little pricey but would definitely buy again for a special occasion.

The crust is better on $3 frozen pies at the grocery store. Although the filling was tasty, it wasn't near worth the money. Boo. Thumbs down.

The crust was soggy and stuck to plate, making it impossible to remove in one piece. I had previously ordered two pecan pie at Christmas which were excellent. These last 2 in this order seemed to have old.

Paula, I never cared for the flavor of Pecan Pie ever, until I experienced your pie. Melt in your mouth good. Didn't want to try making it myself, I knew before hand it wouldn't be as good as yours. Our Christmas was so special with your Pecan Pie. Love, Love, love it, Tamy

Half the crust was broken off. It was very bland. Unfortunately, I can make it beTter and for a lot less. Just wanted to try it. My family feels the same way.

Price

I think it was a lot of money for a pie no matter how good it is. I also thought it was advertised to get to me by Easter. I did not receive it until at least a week after Easter.

Best Pecan Pie Ever!!

I make really good pies, especially pecan pie. But due to health issues this year I purchased my desserts for THanksgiving. We bought two of the Pecan Pies from Paula Deen store and they were the best we have ever had!!! Thank you.

Best Pecan Pie!!!!

Want a great Pecan Pie??? Look no further! Paula really puts her foot, and maybe even an elbow in the making of this pie. Wish I could perfect a pecan pie. Until then I will be ordering Paula's for the holidays. Crust is light, filling is sweet,and rich, but not too heavy where you think if you take a bite you're going to immediately get a tooth ache. I like to heat my pie to a really warm temperature, grab the double vanilla ice cream and put a scoop on top, let it start to melt a second, and then take my first bite....mmmmmmm......yummy!
