i must admit, i was very skeptical that these would do much of anything. well, anything other than amuse me. surprise surprise, they actually do work!
i don't generally eat or cook with onions myself for a variety of reasons but i do occasionally cook for others and these things are very much worth the price. seriously. no more crying in the kitchen for this girl :)

Onion Goggles

by Kathleen , PA

I have had Onion Goggles for over 1 year now and ordered another pair to auction off at a family reunion! I can't live without them and the price is right. I have told EVERYONE they should have a pair.

I cook with onions alot and thought these would save my eyes from the really strong ones. They definitely helped keep the stinging gases from getting to my eyes as much but I think they would have worked even better if I didn't have such a narrow face. I felt they could have fit a bit tighter but again my head may be smaller then most. With a strap for tightening like ski goggles they would be perfect for me. But even not fitting perfectly, they still definitely helped so I'll keep them around.

Good product. It really works. I gave one to my daughter she loves them. I could have used a little wider pair but they still worked.

Dude. They totally work!

If you're like me and tear up at the mere sight of an onion -- green onions, leeks, shallots, Vidalias, you name it -- you will love this awesome invention. Seriously! The foam around the lenses keeps the fumes from getting to your eyes. Unlike all those old wives tales (cut whatever end of the onion first under cold running water, refrigerate, light a candle, yada yada), these onion goggles totally rock.

Bought for my daughter

by Christine, ME
January 14, 2009

My daughter was so surprised and pleased with the fact that these really do work. She wanted them for her birthday; so I ordered them, when she tried them she said for sure she thought her eyes would water, she smelled the onion and was waiting for the tears but they never came. She was so excited she told her sister who works in the food industry and she ordered a set also. They think the pink style is great also.

I always at least tear up when I'm cutting onions, but I didn't have any problems using these goggles.

I thought I could get used to the onion juice the more I cooked the less it would bother me. Not true. Hated to spend the money just for onion goggles. It has been worth every penny. I love them!

Does not work!

by Julia, OK
January 2, 2012

I bought these for my wife for Christmas. The top of the glasses does not seal off at all. The top part of the glasses does not even touch her head. She loves Paula Deen products but these were a waist of money and didnt work at all.

Very Helpful

by BARBARA, WA

This was a gift for friend who is very alergic to onions and who helps me cook lunch for 20 to 30 people 2 days a week. Always helps cut onions. She is thrilled with the goggles. No longer suffers from crying, redness, itch and swelling every time we cook. We both feel everyone alergic to onions should get a pair.

Don't cry!

by Linda, NY
March 8, 2009

I bought these for my husband who is sensitive to onion cooking fumes. They can trigger migraine headaches for him. He says the goggles make the onion cooking procedure much less difficult for him - not perfect but a LOT better. So I think they are great.

I WILL BE RETURNING THE ONION GOGGLES AS THEY DO NOT FIT ME, THEY ARE TOO NARROW FOR MY FACE AND DONT FIT TIGHT AT THE TOP OR BOTTOM, SO THEY WOULD NOT SERVE THE PURPOSE. THANK-YOU LINDA M STEINKE
