This is a great little iron. I originally bought it to make stroopwafels, but was told that the grooves are too deep and wrong to make an official stroopwafel. But the indicator light works like a dream (my first week of use I made 5 recipes), not once was anything overcooked and I'm excited to try some of the recipes that were included. I can't imagine how anyone ever had any problems with this.
For Many years my family has made pizelles for special occasions but since the older generation has now passed on and for some reason beyond my understanding most of those recipes did not get passed down to the next generation. With the pizzelle iron some pf those dreams come bacl to me every time I use it. I only wish there were more magical things in this world to pass down the old world recipes from sicily and naples were my grandparents are from.
THANKYOU FOR MY NEW IRON
I would recomend your products to everyone I know and everyone on my facebook page

This product was recommended to me by a friend. I was unable to find it locally. Fortunately, I did see it on Cooking.com and purchased it. It arrived in a timely manner and was everything I knew it would be. I will be getting another one as a gift for my daughter. Also, the cleaning is very easy and takes up very little storage space. A great value!!

Easy to use and fairly easy to clean, especially if you've ever used one of the older pizelle irons. Our Italian Club recently made thousands of pizzelles in one day using only 8 pizzelle irons, so you can see the ease of use. Everyone raved about the finished product.
The Pizzelle maker I had originally wanted was out of stock, and after reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical about buying the Cuisinart Iron because some people had negative comments about it not staying non-stick, taking too long to make a batch of Pizzelles becasue you can only make 2 at a time, and that the light didn't function as they had expected.
I had to have the machine for a Christmas project so I went ahead and ordered it anyways. I'm glad I did, because I love this machine. It is very very easy to use, and although you can only make two pizzelles at a time, making an entire batch goes relatively quickly. I certainly would recommend the Cuisinart Pizzelle Iron, and if you follow the directions correctly you shouldn't have any of the problems that were listed in the negative reviews.
The product is excelent and I am very happy everytime, I use it. It has very good temperature control, easy to use and easy to store. My family and
friends like my pizzelles very much.
Thank you Cuisinart for your, not only that, for all your products!
I have been wanting to puchase a pizzelle maker for several years now but have been intimidated to do so. I wasn't sure how difficult or easy using this machine would be. I also wasn't sure what to expect for clean up. I finally treated myself and bought one to make cookies for the holidays. Pizzelle's are my FAVORITE treats so I was excited to say the least. It was especially fun this year because my little girl is 2 and we were able to start a new tradition!
The machine is fantastic. It is so unbelievably easy to use and the clean up is a synch! Hands down it's the easiest appliance to opperate in my kitchen and the one that yeilds the tasties results. My daughter loved to help me spoon the mixture on the plates and shut the iron to make the cookies. So easy even my 2 year old could just about do it herself! We really enjoyed making these treats together. We enjoyed eating them even more!
I was trying to order a Krumkake Iron and mistakenly thought this would be one as the one I wanted was not in stock. It may be a good Pizzelle iron but it is too small for Krumkake. The automatic temperature control is good and the pizelle cokies are nicely baked. The error was mine in assuming it was also a Krumkake iron. Perhaps it should have been listed separately and not mixed in with other Pizelle and Krumkake irons to avoid errors like mine.
The light does not operate as it should. After preheating, it does turn green to indicate the press is ready to be used. After pouring the batter in, light turns red . The light stays on red and I have to guess when the pizzelle is ready by opening the press. Light does turn green intermittently but never to indicate pizzelle is ready to be taken out.
I made a different recipe in the Pizzelle, something that I can eat since I can't have flour or other good foods. I use almond flour and it seems to stick in the little details of the lids. I think if I actually used the right batter it would work just great. I have never had one and am just playing with it. Warms up fast and stays hot. Lights seem to work and the color selector, really does do the color you select (even with the wrong batter in it) Very nice.
